Too pretty not to share…
Enjoying the mountains as much as I can.
May the wildflowers always lead the way…

Happy Earth Day! It always seems like a time of reflection on celebratory days. It is indeed Earth Day and I am ever so grateful to call this my Birthday as well! A deep sense of appreciation for nature and all that she entails has been instilled in me since I was little. Born on the coast of California and being raised in the mountains of Montana, to then move to the plains of Colorado, this has ensured my desire and care for the beautiful dynamics of the natural world and I have my family to thank for that. I am grateful for the support systems that have helped me move through difficult times and the loved ones who always saw the potential and goodness in me. I am honoring 28 years on planet Earth today as we celebrate 54 years of recognizing that we, as humans, have a duty to care for and give back to the natural world that we have taken so much from. Careful reciprocity is essential in ensuring sustainable balance and longevity for many aspects of this life. I hope to return all the kindness and goodness this world has given me, for we are all intrinsically deserving of care and love. This past year has been filled with healing and growth; I am over 18 months sober from alcohol and have found myself more connected with the community than I ever have been before. I truly find inspiration and passion from the people around me doing the good work and I hope to continue to contribute positive benefits that will help others along the way. Community care is environmental care, the reciprocated benefits they offer to one another are intertwined and cannot be broken.
My favorite quote by the dear Margaret Mead “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
Together, community will help save the planet.
Thank you to @leafcutterfarms for the kindness and care they have shown to both myself and this community. This picture of a windmill was taken on their lovely farm last season.

Spending this day in gratitude, for it is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day (and also my birthday). Feeling thankful to have the time to help nurture this home. I am grateful to be able to spend days in the wilderness and enjoy the places I strive to protect. A beautiful photo of the San Juans to remind us all what we are working so hard for. How will you be spending Earth Day today? .

I need more wildflowers in my life... Summer is coming to an end and so are the flowers. Reserve some Summer energy for the winter months, seems it’ll be a long wintertide this year. Loving the Summer colors! 🌸🌺🌸 -

Blues and greens...
The Pacific is truly a place of rejuvenation and tranquility;
Teaching us to be calm and collected while still maintaining strength and fortitude;
Hopeful and enduring, we all should look to find the peace. •
