N.T. Wright explained love with a story. “Somebody said to me not long ago that they saw an old couple in their 80’s walking down the street arm in arm. And the thought occurred to him, ‘How many times has he forgiven her? And how many times has she forgiven him?’ That’s what love is.”

The person I love most is also the person I have hurt most. This is the reality of marriage! I have failed many times in 8 years of marriage. But I am grateful that through Jesus, we have both been granted forgiveness and therefore, have the ability, through the power of the Spirit, to forgive one another as an expression of Christ’s great love. To love is to forgive. Thank you Jesus for the cross, your forgiveness and for a wife who forgives and loves me! by @jojonegron

Babe, you have helped me see Jesus and look more like him through your gift of mercy and firmly held convictions. No one can call me out on my sin and shortcomings like you can! Jesus is the prize of your life and I’m grateful to have a wife like that.

Selah, you will always be my special girly. You have taught me how to love and how to live a life of humility and repentance. I know you will have a value for listening to the voice of Jesus and obeying no matter the cost! One day, you may have a husband to be your valentine, but until then you are my valentine.

LIFE UPDATE:
Back in November, at our Great Plains Area Chi Alpha conference, the Lord started moving in our hearts about something new. Over the past 6 months, through lots of conversation and prayer, it has become clear to us that God is calling us to pioneer a Chi Alpha Campus Ministry on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln! I was offered this position and officially accepted to become the Director at UNL in February. The last time there was a full time Chi Alpha Campus Missionary on the campus was over 30 years ago. But that will no longer be the story of this campus!! We are so excited for this new thing that God is doing in our lives and wanting to do through us, in the lives of college students at UNL. As they say in Lincoln, ‼️‼️Go Big Red‼️‼️ We are planning to start the move to Lincoln, Nebraska in the summer of 2023. So, we will still be in Grand Forks at UND for the next academic year.

During this next academic year, I will be the Director of UND Chi Alpha, as our amazing leaders and friends, the Erickson’s, have accepted a position at Northview Church, in Fargo. I am so pumped to lead our team and this amazing group of students for one year, while we make disciples together and continue to faithfully steward what God is doing here.

If we make disciples, Jesus will build his Church. It doesn't always make sense and it's rarely easy, but I believe it’s always worth it! Here’s to reconciling more students to Christ! by @jojonegron

My valentines! Love you babe. And love you my special girly. I think real love produces holiness. I know these two love me because their lives reveal to me how unholy and wayward my heart is and help me to repent, be more holy, and more like Jesus. Their love produces more Christ-likeness in me! Thank you Jesus for letting me love them and using them to make me more like you.
