GOD’S THUMB 🌿 4.8 miles. 1,100 feet of elevation gain. One of the hardest physical things I’ve ever done.

I trained for this hike, but no amount of training could have prepared me for the moments when my body was tired, my legs were burning, and I genuinely had to convince myself to keep going.

And then there was my brother-in-law. @chriskstylist

Near the end, we were talking to each other, reminding each other that we were going to make it to the top. And somehow, those words meant more than anything else in that moment: “We’re gonna f’n make it.”

I think that’s what life is about. That’s what community is about.

It’s about having people around you who encourage your dreams. People who remind you that something is possible for you when you’re too tired to believe it yourself. People who don’t just celebrate you at the finish line, but walk beside you when the climb gets hard.

God’s Thumb was physically grueling, but somewhere along the way it became mind over matter. And standing at the top, I was so damn proud of myself.

I want to keep doing hard things.

Not because I have anything to prove, but because I want to keep discovering what I’m capable of.

So yes, I’ll keep training. I’ll keep climbing. I’ll keep going places that challenge me.

And when someone I love says, “You’re gonna make it,” I hope I’m always the kind of person who says it right back.

O R E G O N • it gave me time with my favorite person (my twin brother), views I’ll never forget, and the kind of quiet that reminds you how big and beautiful this world really is. How BIG God really is. ✨

If you know me at all, you know I’ve never cared much about having a lot of things. I care about people. I care about experiences. I care about the stories I’ll get to tell and the places I’ll get to see. I will spend myself on this mission.

I want my life to be a testament to that, to choosing experiences over possessions, people over things, and making room to actually see the world while I’m here.
