We’re currently living through the shaped-watch renaissance. It’s not just vintage watches either, brands are jumping on the revival with new shapely releases as well. The @sericawatches Parade is one of them, and we’ve just spent a fortnight with it.

Despite at first glance looking like a formal watch reserved for special engagements, look again and you’ll find the Parade makes a brilliant everyday watch. It’s a chameleon, effortlessly dressing up or down and transitioning from chic cocktail evenings to just being your cool, relaxed watch.

@bundanontrust has lived many lives. Nestled against the banks of the Shoalhaven River, just a stone’s throw from Nowra, the property was the elusive muse of one of Australia’s greatest painters, Sir Arthur Boyd.

Now, its latest and boldest evolution has seen it become a very special short-stay accommodation, as @mrshepherdson details over on our site 🔗 taken in Bundanon by @joli.laide

@tagheuer have just dropped their coolest watch in years, made in collaboration with @teamikuzawa and @bamfordwatchdepartment 🏎️

Blending 1970s motorsport and dashboard rallytimer inspiration with Team Ikuzawa’s extraordinary aesthetic, it’s all wrapped up in the knockout TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph package. Limited to just 150 pieces, this has to be one of the best releases this year so far. by @joli.laide

Mixing metals and styles never looked so good.

A 1970s Felicia with a solid silver bark-finished case and a 1950s Elgin tonneau-case with extraordinary applied numerals - @billyzammit rocking two vintage watches at once, showing us that going niche is back in style. taken in Sydney, Australia by @joli.laide

Over the last century Australia has developed a rather unique style of building modernist homes. One of the best in the country is undoubtedly the Beachcomber house, and this weekend one of these heritage-trust homes will play host to @modernister and his show ‘The Australian Dream?’, opening its doors to the public for the first time in many years.

It’s been expertly maintained and is a masterpiece of Australian mid-century modernist architecture, yet it was designed to be built en-masse and sold for the price of two family cars. See our photo report and read more on our site now 🔗 taken in Blue Mountains by @joli.laide

Dennison is here to democratise stone dials, and we’re all for it.

The A.L.D is such a breath of fresh air - it brings the absurdly out-of-reach world of stone dials back down to earth, allowing everyone to enjoy a taste of the magic of a stone-dial vintage watch that the Dennison draws inspiration from.
