So a couple of life things… first of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMA! Today my beautiful mom turned 59 years old– how AWESOME is that. Being able to have you by my side, especially recently, has been such a beautiful blessing in my life and I can’t wait to see where God takes our relationship next! Second, since my mom’s birthday is on the 28th it’s also a reminder that I have two months left until my own birthday, and boy have I learned a lot. If you made it to the last image, you’ll see a photo of me crying- lol. Among all of the smiles that are pictured in these photos, there were a LOT of tears y’all. Life has been lifing and even in the midst of all of the confusion and chaos, I wouldn’t take anything back for a second. 23 has been a year of adjustment, but a necessary adjustment at that. Here are some lessons I have learned so far… One, the lows don’t last forever! For all of tears shed, there are so many more smiles ahead. Plus, the lows make the highs even more beautiful. Two, give that person a hug, tell a friend you love them, or compliment that stranger! Those tiny moments of kindness can move mountains for someone. You’ll even find that bringing joy to other people’s lives makes your sadder days a little more bearable. And third, love yourself like God loves you! As I’ve been reading through my Bible from start to finish for the first time this year, I’ve seen the grace, forgiveness, mercy, and love God extends to us daily. If we lack things internally, we lack things externally. We can’t give what we don’t have and usually that first step looks like how we treat ourselves. All in all, here’s my love letter to life so far 💌 by @jolieemonet
