Going back in time on an old drive, coming across the Atlas ‘Drive’ project with just the engine noise and no music with voice over. This was all shot in 3 days, only shooting sunrise and sunset, with a crew of 3, for less than $30k. It was also shot mostly on the Atlas 25mm lens, and no fake camera change here, all mounted deliberately to give natural shake.

It was a super fun few days, also the first car piece I directed and shot - I’d shot plenty of car project before, but was great to play overlord on this one.

Also got to shoot this with @speedydanclarke who I first met at school before he went off to have an amazing racing career, and we both ended up in the states. Was great working with @steven_gould and @robrodriquezdp as the 3 person crew. None of it would have happened without @dan_kanes and @atlaslensco - who supported me from the very beginning.

Still coming down from this one…. After first messaging @leifvollebekk 5yrs ago when I was in the middle of the desert in Saudi Arabia, we had chatted over the years about creating something, and we finally have. Leif announced a one of performance of his music with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican, and we spent the week capturing the build up, the wonderful people behind it, and Leif’s journey towards what was an epic evening.

Won’t add anything else just yet, but watch this space for more coming soon!

When I’m asked what my favorite shot is, I’d have to go back to a beat up GoPro from a decade ago, shooting a breakaway from the world record in 2015 at @skydivechicago - with Rook Nelson leading everyone for what was a very memorable 3 days. So here is that shot plus two others that stick out in my memory.
