@paristexas poster + photos This show meant a lot to me. @choti.maa bought me tickets to the Mid Air Tour and flew me out to Oakland to see my favorite artists live for my birthday in 2023. Waited hours outside the venue like a little geek and brought like 4 cameras xD it was the best night. Almost three years later and they’re still the artist I listen to the most. Last summer I had the chance to photograph around 50 musicians from @seattlesymphony for updated portraiture to use on their website. We shared brief but formative moments on music, stories about their iconic instruments, and reflections on their journeys. I felt really lucky to witness what lifelong commitment to art looked like here. All photographed in natural light inside the beautiful spaces of Benaroya Hall. We came into the studio to update my best friend Joe’s LinkedIn headshots. Somewhere between tying his tie and making him practice his smile 90 times, it turned into a story about the post-grad job hunt. The excitement of possibility.
The anguish of sending another application into the void.
The creeping sense of doom.
The stubborn, relentless hope that keeps you applying anyway. A moment I’m still wrapped up in myself. If you know this grind, every day turns into a pressure to show up for a future you haven’t met yet. It’s easy to forget to do things in the present that’s just for you. So we made some room for fun and experimentation… or it was just me making Joe be vulnerable in front of the camera and telling him it’s “exposure therapy” (thanks for playing along, Joe). Either way, it felt really good to take photos just for the sake of it. No pressure, no brief, just curiosity and trust. TLDR: blah blah blah I’m still that guy, getting my people right, and having a good time doing it. Special shoutout to @mari.shibuya for allowing me to use her space to find my spark again. PBC’s last hoorah this season. We lucked out with dry fairways, jumbo holes, and even better people. Our first season ever has been a real one. It blew up bc of each of you who showed up but also those who have spoken up and shared your love for PBC from afar. None of it goes unnoticed. Lightweight branding, illustration and merch design for @lamarea_seattle that I did earlier this year for their grand opening. We collaborated to create a voice for their brand, their first t-shirt, menu, and parchment squares. I met Bo and Liz (@lizbethh_dee), on my birthday last year while their pop-up was still @tacos.extranjeros and since then, they’ve actualized their dream to create La Marea, a marisqueria currently located in Ballard @fairislebrewing They serve the freshest and most delicious seafood in Seattle, period. I’m proud to call Bo and Liz friends, and to be a part of their journey. They’ve already come so far! by @jon.pendleton

As some of you already know, I’m marrying the love of my life this August. If you’re new to the info, life moves fast huh?
