Ten of my favorite pictures from 2022 📸 Which one was your favorite? • • 2022 was once again one of my favorite years to date. I know I say that every year, but alas it’s true again. As the years go on as a creative, it remains a fun challenge to continue to create and explore new ideas that test you and hopefully inspire others. Looking back on what I created in 2022 vs previous years; I feel good about pushing my boundaries outside of my normal comfort zone. I’m super grateful for all of the amazingly talented people I got to create with, many of whom I’m lucky to call friends, & I remain humbled by the ongoing support I receive from you. It helps a lot to continuously fuel my creative spark. Cheers to all the good, true, & beautiful things that were created in 2022, and here’s to all the amazing things we have to look forward to in 2023 🥂 • • Frame 1: @chelseakauai x @andreas.alfaro Frame 2: @ambaluna x @shaelahmcgilton Frame 3: @derekhough x @hayley.erbert Frame 4: @annavonklinski Frame 5: @andreas.alfaro Frame 6: La Luna 🌔 Frame 7: @kausha_campbell Frame 8: @toriwebster Frame 9: @val.vogel x baby Frame 10: Jon Sniper (shot by @lexielimitless ) taken in Los Angeles, California by @jon.snip

Before & After (Preset Edition) All of these images were color graded using my portrait presets. These are 7 of the 15 stylized filters I created for use in Lr & Ps. My goal in creating these presets was to give you access to my years of color grading experience at the tap of your finger. If you’re looking for an aesthetic new look for your photos, head over to my website and grab em while they’re hot {link in bio} @jon.snip.presets • • Models are tagged • • #dailyart #myart #kdpeoplegallery #sonyimages #details #losangelesportrait #laportrait #bealpha #laphotographer #globe_portraits #presets #jonsnippressts #losangelesphotographer taken in Los Angeles, California by @jon.snip

Gallery delivery day is Christmas morning in this business 🎁 You’ve spent weeks crafting what now sits under their tree 🎄 Then the link goes out, and there’s silence for a time. That’s my favorite part. That silence is them on the couch, scrolling slow, going back to the same three photos over and over. Then the message comes in. Usually all caps. Sometimes just crying emojis. Sometimes just flames. But it’s always rewarding to see the kind of impact a photograph can have on someone. When you open a gallery, are you the person who sits down and goes through every single frame in order, or do you scroll to the end first? taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @jon.snip

Hold the dots & slide to swap face but not the Eye Contact 👀 This is one of my favorite effects + the product of shooting a ton of close up portraits over the years. Transitioning while keeping a shape or the subject (in this case the eyes) in the same spot of the photo. While you were sliding, did you focus on their left or right eye? 👁️ s/o @andrewoptics for the hold & slide idea taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @jon.snip

12mm vs 300mm vs… a kitchen strainer? 👨‍🍳🍝 Focal length has a direct impact on how your image looks and feels, and when you’re as talented as @jon.snip, no utensil is off limits. The Sky, The Soul, The Summit 🌌👁️⛰️ It’s been a hot minute since a photograph (or collage) has inspired me as much as @emmett_sparling ‘s eye collages. I don’t have the same arsenal of mind blowing landscapes as Emmet, but I do have a few detailed eye portrait laying around, so I had to give it a go. It’s so cool to see the similarities across nature in this beautiful world, I always thought Julianna’s eyes looked like the had clouds in them; this confirms it haha. By the way, there are still 3 spots remaining for the fall photography retreat I’m hosting in Lake Lure, North Carolina, so if an all inclusive 3-day getaway where you can get 1-on-1 guidance, build your portfolio, network with like-minded individuals, and go on beautiful outdoor adventures sounds like an ideal experience, you’re invited. Check the link in my bio for the details 🤝 Photographer: @jon.snip Model: @julianna.nicole4 x Nature Inspo Credit: @emmett_sparling taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @jon.snip
