Drove out to the edge of Umeå, Sweden with @brett_goff_ and @z_list_rider. Great to get a little time in the small communities outside the city. A bit of peace and beauty between the fury of @refused’s final shows. Thanks for the recommendation, @durasduras.

Long journey from Seattle to Umeå for @refused’s final shows. First photo is from their initial return in 2012 at The Warfield in San Francisco. Second was last night in Umeå. Two more shows to go. #ratherbealive

Baseball. Apple Pie. No kings. Fuck fascist. Black Lives Matter. Free Palestine. Fuck ICE. Immigrants built America. Trans rights are human rights. Love is love. Be kind.* Be curious. Be safe.

* Limitations to kindness include the freedom to be mean, mock, ridicule, dehumanize, destroy hateful people. Kindness and your righteousness are not devalued when you are vile, harsh, ruthless, or brutal to terrible people, they are defended. That doesn’t mean any given person should stretch their morals to fight fire with fire, but please understand that safety against tyranny often depends on the willingness of others to be a little (or a lot) shitty to shitty people. It also doesn’t mean those you disagree with are your enemies… EXCEPT when those disagreements align with hate and fear and the othering of individuals or groups for simply existing.

The @tempehistorymuseum Dry Surf exhibit celebrating the legacy of the local skateboarding community across Phoenix held an event last night with Live performances and Q&A from local skaters who helped the scene thrive across the city. If you’re in the Tempe/Phoenix area, check it out! There’s an interactive map of skate spots throughout the decades. Relive your youth or learn about the scene that thrived just outside your view for 50+ years, giving the city and its youth an outlet for creativity, personality, joy, frustration, and passion!

Thanks to @mrsreidster and @v3ss3l74 for the heads-up!

NOTE: I am aware that with alphabetizing titles beginning with an article (“A”) ignore the article and alphabetize by the following word. I, however, refuse to move A Tribe Called Quest from their place in the As and, as such, their rightful place at the top of the order.

Caught @tvontheradio Thursday. Another amazing show. So good to see them Live again. Have had a TVOTR playlist and @tadebimpe’s solo record on heavy repeat lately. Highly recommend seeing them if they head your way.
