/////////////////////////

Bass Witch events are a celebration of fiery, female, trans and non-binary energy. We honour ALL those who wish to join in this celebration - and welcome witches, allies and friends. We work hard to foster an intentional safer space, where care and moderation is celebrated, discrimination and harassment are not tolerated, and where all bodies can move freely to the bass. by @jonah_k_23

4 years ago, Ritual Radio started transmitting dark, underground bass music ⚡️
The time has come to take a break from regular shows. Gonna prioritize making new music instead… but keep your eye out for occasional one-off shows 🖤✨

You can find a selected list of shows and guest mixes in the archive on @dubplate.fm (link in bio) or in a playlist on my (Jonah K) soundcloud page — including the latest mix by @_leveq

A huge thank you to all the dedicated listeners - and all of the talented guests over the years:

Peterborough - I’m heading your way on Oct. 17!!
Super stoked about this event by @otonabeatsradio

Otonabeats returns to an undisclosed outdoor location for a dance event that offers a glimmer of hope in an otherwise bleak future. As the Doomsday Clock ticks forward, we’re experiencing a climate crisis, the rise of authoritarianism, corporations raking in record-breaking profits, all while tech billionaires race to deploy AI to replace the working class. Instead of giving up and caving in, we want to ask: what individual and community actions can we take to Disrupt the Doom?

Expect a full-scale audio, visual and interactive experience. This lineup is loaded with great artists (including some friends, @kizmet32 @age_of_moss and @by_la_alfonso 😁)

Powered by @illectric_city_soundsystem

Location drops day-of — watch @otonabeatsradio for details. Washrooms and water are available on site. Water is BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle). All identities are welcome. Anyone being disrespectful, discriminatory or causing safety issues will be asked to leave. Camera use is discouraged on the dance floor. Meta Glasses not allowed. Harm reduction supplies will be available.

Vibe Crew will be on site, identified by colourful lanyards. Come talk to us if you experience any issues.

Please consider biking to the venue, as parking is limited. Do not park on the road or risk spoiling the party for everyone! Leave no trace.

✨😶⚡️ On Sept 19, @darkroomsav returns to Lumen Festival in Waterloo. We’re one of many installations and, this year, we’re bringing our organized chaos to the grist mill — across from the public library.

What are we up to? Well you’ll have to come and see for yourself but, as usual, it will be silly, and you’ll get a chance to be a part of the art.

“The emoji has become an inextricable part of our digital lexicon, expressing complex emotions without need for language. But how do we expand our notion of the emoji, as the world expands and complex emotions threaten to swallow us whole? Enter: MEGAMOJI. Join us at the Grist Mill to have all your answers questioned.”
