WAITING FOR WAITING FOR WAITING FOR GODOT

Written by: Breadbox Theatre Company @breadboxtheatreco (that’s us)

INT. Braden and Addy’s home.
Braden and Jonah have been riffing for 20 minutes about the genius concept of “Waiting for Waiting for Godot”. Then Liam, in all his wisdom, googles the title…
LIAM: So someone has already done “Waiting For Waiting For Godot”
BRADEN: Dang it.
ALL: (silence)
JONAH: what if we just add a waiting for… “Waiting For Waiting For Waiting For Godot”
(Verbatim what happened)

Director: Braden Henderson
SM: Sarah Soares
Actors: Adelaide Dolha, Braden Henderson, Liam Lockhart-Rush, Sarah Soares and me

So uh, I got to write and direct a silly little short film and good golly, what a ride. Thank you to my incredibly fabulous and talented team. This was by no means a walk in park (mostly my fault, sorry about that team) but we did it and (if I may) we did it kinda well. I could not have done this without any of you. Literally, I owe you all my first born child, whether you like it or not.

“So it’s a musical sketch comedy combining The Bear and Barbie?”

This has been one of the funniest and best experiences in my life. Thank you to the @players.to team for welcoming me into this perfectly weird family (and perhaps cult?). Thank you to the cast for being the funniest and most talented group of people in the world. And finally, thank you to Jeremy Allen White and Calvin Klein (not a sponsor) for being an endless source of inspiration.

What a crazy show this was. I don’t really know what to say other than, thank you. Thank you to all the brilliant people who poured so much of their souls and spirits (get it? because of what happens in the show… it’s funny, right?) into this show and made it all possible. This was a wild ride and I’m so glad I got to spend it with you all.
