This past weekend, the award in Swedish National Photography Championships took place ( @smifotografi ) .

I’m incredibly happy, and honestly equally surprised that all 12 of my submitted images were recognized among nearly 2,000 entries.

Although I didn’t make it onto the podium this time, I’m very proud to have had three images finish in the Top 10, with one reaching the Top 5 in the Wedding Reportage category.

A result I’m truly grateful for, especially considering the incredible level of photography in this year’s competition. And, a special thank you to @sigma.nordic and @focusnordic for their continued support and for providing me with the tools I rely on in my work. #smifotografi taken in Quality Hotel The Weaver by @jonastborg

Thank you @kungligmajestatsorden for trusting me photographing the Seraphim Toll. A ceremony held in honour of a deceased Knight of the Royal Order of the Seraphim.

Knights who have served as heads of state and have been awarded the Order’s Collar are honoured with a ceremonial procession and military guard from the Royal Palace, joined by representatives of the country’s embassy, senior members of the Royal Court and the Royal Orders of Knighthood.

So happy to have been invited to exhibit one of my photographs at the opening of @art_icon.official, running alongside the Venice Film Festival and Biennale.

And of course, on purpose getting lost in the streets and canals of Venice doing street photography 📷 #venice #travelphotography @focusnordic @sigma.nordic taken in Venice, Italy by @jonastborg

I am very happy, honored and proud to have received ”King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia’s Golden Wedding Jubilee Commemorative Medal”. A majority of these medals have been awarded to members of the Swedish and foreign royal families, employees of the Royal Court, and a small number of individuals outside the Court.
In Swedish, this group/type of distinction is known as “kungliga jubileumsminnestecken” (Royal Jubilee Commemorative Decorations) by @jonastborg

As an aviation enthusiast this assignment was extra fun and interesting. Photographing press images for the newly appointed CEO of Swedavia, the Swedish Aviation Authority. Thank you Mats Johannsesson for letting me drag you around the airport for a couple of hours @swedavia @arlanda by @jonastborg
