Here I'm singing this Aria for the First Time in Concert! The whole version is on my Youtube (Link in Bio) This is from Richard Wagners Oper: Die Walkuere, Ein Schwert verhieß mir der Vater. My carackter (Siegmund) is in captivity and he was promised to find a sword that he can fight his way out with by his Father Wälse. Enjoy my version of this Aria (-:

Hey from Rehearsals... tommorow on the Stage.."La vergine degli angeli" is a famous prayer
and choral piece from Act II of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera
*La forza del destino*
(The Force of Destiny).

The protagonist, Leonora,
seeks refuge in a secluded monastery. Leonora implores the choir and the
Virgin Mary for protection against
her fate and her vengeful brother.

The piece combines the soprano
solo voice (Leonora) with a powerful,
ethereal male choir and
mysterious orchestral sounds.

The piece ranks among
the most sublime moments
in the operatic
repertoire and has been interpreted
by numerous great sopranos,
such as Maria Callas,
Leontyne Price and Rosa Ponselle.
