I am so grateful to be fufilling my dream of creating the World’s Fastest Drive-Thru, that serves quality hand-made ingredients and creates job with purpose that pay in congruence with results. I started in the QSR industry at 16, and left at 20 with the vision of starting a speed based milkshake Drive-Thru brand (the vision has shifted to Coffee - Energy/Tea - Shakes). After moving to Texas to finish my education, reading dozens of books, keeping my circle tight, investing in myself, sacrificing financial stability, and believing in the vision through all the hurdles and struggling, I present to you RoadRunners. This was hard. This is hard. This looks hard, and I promise you it’s harder than it looks. Creating a brand, recruiting a team, setting a vision, sticking to the vision, creating the operations/systems, creating the menu with a strict vision on color and quality, raising $1m in 60 days, finding and closing the perfect 1st location, managing the architectural and engineering process, navigating the permitting process, being my own General Contractor, navigating the legal challenges and all the details in between. I want to create jobs with purpose, and serve amazing products with shocking speed. & it’s happening! I am so grateful for my co-founders Jordan and Gabe. Jordan owned most of the menu creation, Gabe has been critical in the construction management process, they have both sacrificed a lot to be in the position they are now, and I am blessed to launch this with them and watch them run this 1st location while I get 2 and 3 up and running. We have had over 400 qualified applicants in 3 weeks, so many people want to work with us, and Jordan and Gabe’s are the perfect leaders to balance world class operational excellence with an encouraging fun culture. The Lord is good, and hard work pays off, it’s probably not worth it to 99.999% of people because this was extraordinary difficult and painful. BUT- I LOVE doing it. I love living my dream. If you read this far, you’re a real one, and thanks for being in my life. -JK taken in Eagles Landing on Huffmeister by @jonathan.kay

Today I got the opportunity to see the studio of a business that has inspired me since I was a teenager. @globemakers in London hand makes beautiful bespoke globes and what they do has always captured my fascination. I am standing next to The “Churchhill” which is their largest globe of which they will only ever make 40. This is one of their final ones, that happened to be done and ready to ship when I stopped by to see the studio. One of my life goals it to “create more then I consume” and Bellerby is a beautiful example of a business that creates. The craftsmanship and process is inspiring. What a treat to see! by @jonathan.kay
