TWO NIGHTS ONLY — JOHN HIATT at The Birchmere, Oct. 6 & 7.

If you love great American songwriting, this is one to see live.

For more than four decades, John Hiatt has built one of the most respected catalogs in American music, with more than 400 of his songs recorded by artists including Bonnie Raitt, Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Bob Dylan and Iggy Pop.

Now you can hear those songs from the man who wrote them, live at The Birchmere.

Opening both nights are Rachel Ann Morgan & Jonathan Sloane, bringing powerhouse vocals, exceptional guitar work, and a soulful mix of Americana, blues, rock and roots music.

Two chances to see one of America’s great singer-songwriters in our Legendary Music Hall.

I don’t often play guitar solos note for note but when you’re in the middle jam section of “can’t you hear me knocking” by The Rolling Stones, there is no way that I’m NOT going to play that iconic Mick Taylor solo note for note!
.
Thank you to my good friend Jenny Langer for assembling this incredible cast of musicians and putting all of the hard work that goes into a production of this magnitude. Everyone who was involved brought their A game and truly crushed it.
.
For this gig we had a great crew: Deren Blessman on drums, Matt Everhart on bass, Jon Maurer on keys, Ken Wenzel on sax, Arthur Thompson on aux percussion and Billy Coulter on guitar. Fronting this tune, we had the incredible Shari Puorto and Juliet Lloyd. This was simply a BLAST.
.
.
.
Thank you to Teresa Lutz Dohrman for capturing the moment.
