The not mistakes. Aka the rolls where I didn’t accidentally double expose my images trying to capture fall while hanging out with my boys. We went again up Khyv Peak and then all the way down to Hobble Creek over the mountain and I can safely report no double exposures were made. Those are coming later.

@thefindlab said to get out and go shoot the fall colors. So I did. Drove up Guardsman’s Pass with my boys and loaded up some film. The battery died while rewinding a roll and I didn’t notice it because the 1V has a “quiet rewind” custom function. I thought it rewound fully but it had rewound to like frame 3 and I didn’t realize it so I just closed the back and started shooting again. None of this was intentional. But the lines lines up like I’m some kind of preconception genius. I AM NOT. Just got lucky on some/most/all of these. REALLY LUCKY.

30 years ago this Jan I started my freshman year at BYU with these guys in the dorms over at Heritage Halls in A Richards 100. I haven’t seen some of these guys since that semester ended. We all were in town and went to dinner at @ednasmarketgrille in Provo then headed over to @thefindlab Analog Community Center to take some snaps in the studio. 21 vs 51. Thanks @harrisontrinca for the snap of us all together and thanks Canon for making a camera that’ll allow me to do professional selfies.

What a trip with a great group of somewhat strangers. I knew a couple peeps going in but when you gather a group of like minded folks who all love photography and gather in a place that is screaming to be shot good things just ensue.

We’re super close to announcing the 2027 lineup for @filmschoolroadtrip. 10 locations around the globe, 9 attendees, me & 2 peeps from @thefindlab. 2027 we’re gonna be road trippin!

15 and 6’somethin

We’re going to a local gun range where he and some friends are going to burn through some ridiculous amount of ammo while I take photos. I may or may not have jumped out of a plane today for my 51st birthday that was yesterday.
