Jesus told stories that deserve to be seen on the big screen. The Ten Virgins movie is in production, and we pray our way through every scene because these are His stories to tell.

STUNTS! We didn't have a lot of stunt scenes in The Ten Virgins, but the ones we did were a lot of fun. With Abdella Ouksih (Dune, Gladiator II) as our Stunt Coordinator everything was safe and professional on set.

What difference does VFX make? Just take a look at this WIP shot from the Ten Virgins that I'm working on. We shot Day for Night and got a clean plate of the moon to build the illusion. I love this part of post-production when you get to see the vision take shape. by @jonathansfarrell

I don't have a lot of free time, but I've been working on some fun animation in the random moments I get. Maybe I'll actually have something to show eventually. by @jonathansfarrell

It's been a month since being on set, and I miss it. I remember how hot it was, how dusty, how difficult, and often frustrating. Just like I knew would happen, all of that has already faded in my memory. All I can see are the amazing people, the amazing places, and the amazing results. Looking through the Behind the Scenes shot by our videographer @camd3nh (from which this still comes) makes me want to be out in the field shooting again with talented filmakers, learning and perfecting the craft. by @jonathansfarrell

I never realized the drastic difference cinema lenses make until working with footage shot from a reputable line. Most people would faint having to pay 40 to 60K to buy a set of these lenses, but when we talk about what makes movies look like movies the glass is where its at. by @jonathansfarrell

Its been a week since wrapping on the Ten Virgins and I still don't feel quite recovered. Maybe its the mountain of post-production still left to tackle, but I think it has more to do with the fact that you just can't adequately communicate the experience of being on a film crew to others. I've tried many times to share the experiences I had in Morocco but I always feel unsatisfied. Its like trying to describe a dream after waking up. You can describe the sights and the sounds, but its deeper and more personal than that. Theres certainly melancholy mixed with the joy of having finished. I look through my camera roll; which now completely fills my phone, and try to decide what photos to delete (they are all backed up) , but I can't delete any. I can't get rid of the evidence, not yet. I need it in case I have to prove that I was there, that I did that. Nobody needs convincing though, except perhaps me. I guess I'm still in disbelief, trying to decide what was real and what was dream. taken in Ouarzazate by @jonathansfarrell

This man has a job that is not very common on a film set. He could often be seen wandering the perimeter of where we were shooting, just outside the reach of the lights on night shoots. Every so often he wandered into shots, but this offense was excusable given the important job he was doing. Most of the crew didn't know his name, but everyone knew what he did. This guy was the snake man. His job was to find and remove venomous snakes that might slither onto set. This was very much a reality shooting in Africa. More than once we had a scaley friend come for a visit, including a beautiful black Egyptian cobra one day.

I'll never forget our last day of shooting when a sudden commotion disrupted a take. We looked off to the left and the snake man was pulling a writhing mass out of the bushes a few yards from where we were shooting. Despite being bitten all up his arm the snake man was unscathed. Talk about a boss! I had to grab this photo with him the day we wrapped.
