POSTS STORIES REELS

I’m honored to serve my peers at the @RecordingAcademy as the newly elected Vice President of the Nashville Chapter. #RepresentingTheAcademy means advocating, supporting, and celebrating the many voices that make up our diverse creative community year-round, and I look forward to joining leaders dedicated to driving music forward. by @jonblass

Thank you, @applemusic for highlighting the music I’ve been privileged to mix over the years. I do not take for granted that the incredibly talented artists on this playlist (and SO many more) trust me to bring their vision to life.

I’m grateful Apple has chosen to invest in highlighting those of us #BehindTheSongs not only with curated playlists, but also by providing full credits on Apple Music.

It’s the privilege of a lifetime to make art.

Thee Tasha Cobbs Leonard! A monster of an album. A who’s who of featured artists. A true, live experience!

Congrats to @tashacobbsleonard and producer @kennethleonardjr on the latest giant of an album! by @jonblass

A great producer rarely builds a strong career alone. Behind so many records I’ve been fortunate to have some A+ engineers. Sound Experts who understand my vision, captures the sound, and helps me bring what I hear in my head to life.

That producer/engineer partnership doesn’t get talked about enough, but it’s one of the most important relationships in making great music. 🤷🏿‍♂️

PRODUCERS: Today, show some love! Post and tag your lead recording, mix, or mastering engineer (s/o to Herb Powers, Dave Harris, Ken Pennell) and let them know their work matters. Give the people behind the sound their flowers! Love & Respect to my A Team- Kosta Johnson, James Harris, Marty Taylor, Jon Blass, John Jaszcz. My Assistant Engineers also-Ryan Yang,Brendan Monahan, Will Lazar💐 Love U Guys!#RecordingEngineer #MixEngineer #MasteringEngineer #FOHEngineer by @jonblass

2025 though! So many new and long-time clients I got to make incredible music with this year - congrats to them for all their chart/award achievements! What a big year for @pastormikejr. What a joy to work with, and so much fun to put together records with him and @dlo_the_great. @jovontapatton, @pastorjnelson, @bishopsyyounger, @tedandsheri 🔥 Working with @flytetymelewis and his team on the @yolandaadams album! @karenclarksheard with @manohanes and @kenhemusic! @thethirdmelvincrispell with @dcbazz! Of course @rickydillard is ALWAYS a favorite for me. I go way back with @todddulaney1, and what a great collab with @iammiketodd and @wearetransformationworship

Incredible night of @thestellars for some outstanding records! by @jonblass

I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to co-chair the Nashville Chapter Producers & Engineers Wing committee (@prodengwing) for the past 2 terms alongside @jamlin and @shanigandhi.

Thank you forever to @aliciawarwick and @armandthebass for trusting me with this genuinely impressive group of creators.

This has been such a growth opportunity for me in leadership. Being in the room with this committee is one of the most inspiring places to be. So glad the @recordingacademy continues to support those of us on the other side of the glass.

A couple photos from events we hosted. A panel discussing the problem areas of credit distribution at @capitolcmg with Deborah Deloach of @vevacollect, @maureendroney, @jaybaumgardner of @muso.ai, and Jamie Haymes of @warnermusicnashville

and a listening session at @welcometo1979 playing and discussing records produced by @lehningkyle, @iambandplay, and @ben.fowler.music! by @jonblass

When we decided to take our kids on their first international trip, we were so excited to show them parts of the world we love, expose them to new cultures, and view the world through their eyes with wonder and awe. Full transparency? An international trip with lots of travel and two young kids is NO joke. Our expectations fell short in so many ways, but I am SO proud of the way we showed up, united as a family, and did the damn thing. I hope when we look back at this trip, we’ll remember this as the trip we built resilience together. I hope our kids will remember us teaching them the value of doing hard things. I hope we’ll forget about our travel woes and Wells getting food poisoning. I’m certain we will remember this as the trip where we dug deeper, got closer, and stuck together. Cheers to the first Blass family international exploration! 🇬🇧 🇳🇱 by @jonblass

Three albums nominated last year! Such incredible artists. by @jonblass
