POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Don’t miss the latest episode of Music Makers San Diego out now & available at the link in our bio. My guest this week is @jonbogdasmusic. I had the pleasure of sitting down & talking with Jon about a variety of things, including what actually prompted him to take up songwriting, an example of how he tried to overcome getting stuck in the same chord progressions & much more. Jon also performs three of his original songs during our conversation. Thanks to our engineer, @cous_fr. Music Makers San Diego is recorded at @amplifiedsd.

@sarapetite_sweetpea kindly invited me to participate in a very Springsteen Christmas, and it was one of the honors of my life to be on the stage with these people tonight. Long live the Boss!

New shit! Also, I decided to fuck around and buy a harmonica like two days before this, and I’ve never played one before, so as I say in the beginning of this video, please…go easy on me!

Chameleon

She’s thumbing the pages,
Of the latest new age self help books,
Loves the lines where she’s aligned,
All the rest, she just misunderstood,
For suggestions she says don’t apply,
She’s a special case, just look,
A chameleon colored just like the lovers,
Hanging up on her hooks,

Parts with superficial pieces,
Says she’s a Theseus design,
Doesn’t even need a reason,
To replace them with the ones that you like,
When she catches her reflection,
It’s a stranger she don’t recognize,
But nothing’s really changing,
She’s just painting the planks she can’t hide,

She’s speaking a language,
That doesn’t require any words,
She lingers on your shoulder,
Feels the fabric as you try to reverse,
But, she’s sinking her fangs in,
There’s nothing she needs to imply,
You can try to escape it,
But she won’t you let you out of her sight,

Now you’re calling a cab,
It departs for a place more private,
She’s dimming down the lights,
Closing windows cause she can’t keep quiet,
Claws you in closer,
Whispers, “this is just what I’ve been missing”,
Does whatever she likes,
And she don’t ask for your forgiveness
