Stunning blue sky day down at Cheyne with @si_kenobi today made even sweeter with a send of Dynomite (and Si's quick ascent of Pandemonium too).

It's the first 8a I've done in a few years and after many failed attempts over the last couple of months I've got to know this piece of rock on the south coast a little too well. But it's all worth it when each finger falls into place on every hold and even though the moves are dialled, you still need to try hard not to pump out before getting to the chains. Brilliant climbing.

Thanks everyone who came down to hold my rope all those crisp winter mornings!

(The vid is from an attempt last year)

What a great moment to witness! Si @climb.eat.gym.repeat putting it all together at the end of summer to send Hurricane on a Millpond 8a.

Possibly the FSA? (First Summer Ascent) how on earth did he hold all those awful holds on such a warm day!? Great effort.

Strong scenes with @vicki.hau down at coastguard last weekend. Let's hope for some more days like these this bank holiday!

My happy place 😀
A day out in the sun in an amazing location with good friends and a ridiculously named sequence of tiny holds up a rock face.

Prison Sex 7c+ (Still yet to get the send but it's close!)

The finished edition of the @rockfax Dorset Climbing Guide has arrived and it's great to see my shot of @jjdaly590 up on the front cover! Flicking through there are 10 more of my shots inside, hopefully helping to show the amazing area Dorset is for climbing.

I've even made it in on a double page spread with a great shot from @after_the_send !

Looking through the book I keep finding familiar faces, all attempting the same vertical challenges I have over the last few years here. This guide is not only a helpful companion heading out to the cliffs but also a collection of memories and experiences from a community that I am always grateful to be a part of.

The risk paid off! Despite the forecast, perfect conditions were found down at coastguard yesterday.

Beaut of an evening session down at coastguard last night. Progress on the project, managed to get through the crux twice on Heartland 7c only to get shut down right before the top.

Sweet shot from @climb.eat.gym.repeat

It's that time of the year again! The @marmot and @ukclimbing photography Awards 2020 and I'm pleased to say I've been shortlisted for the 3rd year in a row!

We spent so much time last year down at coastguard South battling with Tenessee that it's great to have what was our summer represented in the comp. I think @howdoyoupronouncethat (in the green tee) would happily vote this route as the best 7c in the country.

There are some amazing entries this year and you can see them all on the #ukclimbing page...

And maybe log on to do some voting 😉
