RIP Ralphie

You were, without question, the most difficult dog anyone could have.
You bit us if we tried to groom you.
You attacked strangers.
You lunged at moving cars and UPS trucks.
You bullied Yoshi and stole his food and treats if we didn’t supervise.
You’d poop on the carpet if we stayed out late.
You peed all over the house — and later, into countless diapers.
You’d wake us in the middle of the night to drink water or go outside.
You developed Cushing’s disease, then diabetes.
We structured our entire days around your insulin schedule.
We carried you in and out of bed like your personal staff.
You were such a pain in the ass.

But you were also my best friend.

You had a sixth sense about people that defied explanation.
You were a total badass — you saved our other dog from a coyote with nothing but sheer courage.
You battled every disease like it didn’t stand a chance.
I was the only person you truly trusted, and that made it even more special.
Everyone who met you was touched by your unique ways.
There will never be another dog like you.

Ralphie, you were the most difficult dog on the planet, and we wouldn’t have had it any other way.
And even though we always knew this day would come, it still feels sudden and too soon.

Today, our hearts are broken.
RIP, my best friend 💔 by @joncharnis

Wow what a weekend in San Francisco.
It was an absolute pleasure playing b2b2b with my good pals @djleeburridge and @hojmusic for the amazing @alldayidreamintheclouds event at @audiosf. Thank you so so much to everybody who danced with us, the vibes were so thick. And of course big thanks to Lee and the ADID team for having me. It's always magical 💙☁️💙 taken in San Francisco, California by @joncharnis

How does one sum up the experience of living an entire week in the middle of the Nevada desert; that week long experiment colloquially known as Black Rock City?

By now you've all heard the tales of blinding dust storms, punishing heat waves, vehicle breakdowns, campground disasters and personal meltdowns. You've already seen countless videos of partygoers dancing at sound camps and over the top art cars. And along with the influencers, models, celebrities it attracts, Burning Man's excesses are an easy target of critique.

Every year when it ends my senses are so overloaded I wonder if I finally had my fill, if this was my final year. But then every next year I come back for more. So why do we do it? Community. Because there is truly something magical about 80,000 people co-creating experiences together in the harshest of environments. Because the level of imaginatioin and ingenuity is inspiring. The kindness of strangers is contagious. And the bonds formed on the playa are stronger. We come back from the community. See you next year then? by @joncharnis

It's almost that special time of the year when we gather in the dust to celebrate life. It's hard to believe it's been 3 crazy years since the last #BurningMan event. As usual, I promised myself I would only play a couple of shows and spend more time going with the flow; as usual I failed miserably. But how can you turn down an invitation to share music?

This year, I will performing 8 times, some big, some small, and some b2bs with some special friends. Like every year, I will not be sharing my DJ schedule and let serendipity do its thing. If you want to find me, you will! (or ask for my Excel file 🤣) . See you soon in the dust my friends... )'(

I'm on Cloud 9 (excuse the pun!) after the most unforgettable weekend at the very first @alldayidreamfestival ..

This was truly the vibiest event I've been to in a long long time. From the performers to the dancers, and organizers, words fail to express the magic created this weekend by our community. Getting to meet and share endless laughs with so many fellow @alldayidreamintheclouds artists was another highlight. I feel like I've gained a new family.

The cherry on top was hearing my new music played during the closing @djleeburridge
b2b @matthewdekay reunion set. Let's hope for a recording!

Infinite thanks to @djleeburridge for creating something truly special and inviting me to play. This feels like only the beginning and I'm blessed to be part of it.

Ps: first 2 videos are previews of future releases . Stay tuned for info ...

Shouts to the amazing team @kuhriskay, @daniel.cowel , @philipsoeffker , @vernonnyc @matthewfholt , @borzu_music, @parkermaass , @dani_bonnet by @joncharnis
