UK Healthcare - Ordinary is Extraordinary

Earlier this year we set out to shoot a patient-story campaign for UK HealthCare to advanced medical treatment that helps patients return to the simple, everyday moments of life.

DuJuan experienced the joy of hearing ordinary sounds clearly for the first time after a cochlear implant allowing him to excel in education and enjoy the hobbies he loves.

Alison regained hand function after a 2016 car accident giving her second chance at independence

Andy received a complex heart transplant. No longer lost to fatigue and once again living weekends filled with long walks and road trips

I got a chance to sharpen my fashion photography this past weekend with @silkandironco to shoot their upcoming fall collection.

This was a change of pace from the usual food bev work where sometimes you spend a whole day adjusting and lighting on one image. Instead this was run and gun shoot chasing light on my Leica S, Profoto b1, a bounce, straight to card.

Noel, owner and baker of @el_breadshop in her bakery.

These first two quarters of the year have been packed with many fun client projects that I am stoked to share!

That being said, once the dust settled a bit, I found myself searching for a project that gave room to breathe and speak.

I had know of El Bread from a few years ago when I had come across Noel’s booth at a market. The thought of doing a project didn’t come to me then but recently the name came back across my instagram feed from one of her post right as I hit that creative slump and the light bulb came on and dots connected.

I wanted to approach this project with the goal of telling a story and providing a feeling of what El Bread is and who is behind it. It was important to me to walk into this space with no expectations and to let the narrative build itself from conversations, environment, and even the smells and taste.

Thank you to @tyler_g_deeb for the help facilitating this project and Noel for making the time to collaborate! by @jonchiphoto

Personal Project for @rettasscoops pt.2

Desserts, ice cream, and alcohol. All the things worth living for.

This past summer I was greeted with a new neighbor. Rettas opened, dangerously and literally, across the street from my home. When I first visited during their soft open I instantly connected with the vision that Ben curated. Expert creative experimentation served to you in the form of precisely crafted desserts and cocktails.
