South Greenland 🇬🇱

I spent a few days exploring Qaqortoq and sailing through some of the nearby fjords, and it was nothing like I had imagined Greenland to be.
When most people think of Greenland, they probably picture endless ice, snow and glaciers. But South Greenland is surprisingly green during the summer months, with mountains, deep fjords, colourful little towns and landscapes that almost feel like a different country.

Qaqortoq is one of the largest towns in South Greenland, and the surrounding area has a fascinating history, including the remains of Norse settlements dating back more than 1,000 years.
I knew Greenland would be beautiful, but I really wasn’t expecting this. Definitely one of the most surprising places I’ve visited. by @jonfromiceland

Postcards from Milos, Greece 🇬🇷
Spent a week here and it honestly turned into one of my favourite trips ever. The people are so friendly, the water is unbelievably clear and blue, and there’s so much to explore both on land and underwater. And yes, I saw a turtle 🐢

It’s one of those places where you just feel free.

If you’re planning a trip to Milos and have any questions, leave them below. I’ll try to answer everything while the trip is still fresh in my mind. by @jonfromiceland

I think the movie Into the Wild planted this idea in my head years ago. Now, at least once a year we head somewhere that’s hard to reach, has no cell service and just spend a few days living with whatever we can carry and catch.
It’s become one of my favourite traditions. A few days where life gets very simple, and I always come back wanting to do more of it 🏔️ by @jonfromiceland

I’m usually the one behind the camera, so there aren’t that many photos of me from all the places we go.
Over the last year my girlfriend has been bringing a disposable camera on our trips and taking a few photos along the way.
No editing, no perfect timing, and most of the time I don’t even remember the photo being taken.
I think that’s why I love these so much 📸 by @jonfromiceland

I’ve spent a lot of time exploring and photographing Southeast Iceland over the years, and this has become one of my favourite places to stay when I’m out here 📸🏔️

KALEO live at Þingvellir 🇮🇸
More than 20,000 people gathered on the longest day of the year as some of Iceland’s biggest artists took the stage at BERGMÁL.

The roads in the Westfjords are one of the reasons I keep coming back.
If you’re planning a road trip there, save this route:
📍 Hellulaug Hot Spring
📍 Látrabjarg
📍 Rauðisandur
📍 Pollurinn Hot Spring
📍 Dynjandi
📍 Bolafjall
📍 Ísafjörður
📍 Hörgshlíðarlaug Hot Spring by @jonfromiceland

The puffins were an unexpected bonus 🐧
We came to Látrabjarg for the cliffs and the sunset, but ended up spending a good part of the evening watching these little guys instead 📸
All visitors had already left by the time we arrived, so we had hours to explore, cook dinner, and enjoy the last light of the day before heading to Rauðisandur for the night 🌅 by @jonfromiceland

The road to the Westfjords 🌅
We followed Road 1 north before turning onto Road 60. Hardly another car in sight , just mountains, farm animals, and a sunset that seemed to get better every minute.

📸 These photos were mostly taken around 23:30.

The Highlands are one of the few places where you can drive for hours and still feel completely off the grid 🏔️ by @jonfromiceland
