Performing on luxury cruise ships around some of the most exotic parts of world for the past months has been a wild career highlight...alongside free 24/7 room service! - Music takes you places - it's not all that long ago I was playing on the streets of Dublin, London and Istanbul, and I wouldn't have got where I am in my career without that blood, sweat and tears. - Thank you to the audiences who welcomed me so warmly on my ocean travels, to fellow performers and crew on the ships, and to @hiscoxcases for looking after my guitar in my signature case through the travels. - More to come... ----- #cruiseship #shiplife #easterisland #quebec #kotor @seabourncruise @hollandamericaline @yousguitar @buskinlondon @d_albeniz @theocurtin @alesander.morocho.z @zooget @englerdderek @christianlunnofficial @miss_melodyrose @nathanaelgiven @raquelribsantos @clayton__sallee @floating.musician @cerveza_mahina by @jonjanofficial
Thank you to the @Sofarsoundsizmir team in #Turkey , and to the person who saw me performing in #London a few weeks ago and recommended me. - What a beautiful, unique night of music in an incredible artistic space (gratitude to @ekin_erman) and my first Sofar Sounds in my country of birth. Cheers to @gokcedorapera for the video and @berkcantaysi for thumbnail image! - A unique pleasure to get to play for my father in the audience here too... - Major announcement coming soon. ----- #Guitar #Music #Muzik #Art #Gig #Sofar #Live @taylorguitars @elixir_strings @rcf_audio @fadimesener #türkiye #gitar #secretgig #creative by @jonjanofficial
Warming up fingers at the hotel before performing in the stunning #Greek #island of #Santorini last year for some beautiful people. Was blown away by the warm hospitality across the island, shout out to the lovely staff at @domenautilus - Want to see me at a @sofarlondon show THIS Saturday for free? Limited free spaces on my #Guestlist for fans/followers, so if you have an empty early evening around Central #London and want to come along send me a message - while spaces last! ----- #GandalfTheWhite #Guitarist #International #LuxuryIsland #musician #musicianlife @herasweddings @taylorguitars by @jonjanofficial
GUITARIST GEAR POST: While I'm staying here in #Shanghai , @yousguitar offered to send me something to the hotel...didn't expect it to be two of their updated dual source pickup systems! Excited to try these in some guitars. Because of my percussive style, it's pretty much essential to have microphones as part of my pickup systems. - I make a point to mainly mention guitar related brands and products that really serve me in daily use, are made well, last a long time through gigging internationally and that I'm very proud to be associated with. I get offers to talk about products from companies and get gear for free in exchange for promo, but if I'm not using it day to day, I generally don't feel comfortable to post about it. When gear is good, I naturally want to talk about it, I'm not asked to. - I bought my @yousguitar L140E in Berlin at the percussion shop @tribumusicstore completely by chance, I was not looking for a guitar but it just stood out. (Not least because it was a guitar in a percussion shop...and beautiful! Also, the owners dog thew up when I played it, the ultimate accolade). I tried it and loved it. - @yousguitar have been fantastic to collaborate with, and it's because I genuinely love the guitar I play of theirs, want to talk about it, and respect the quality of their gear that earns my living and feels great in my hands. Thank you to them and I'll feedback on the pickup system in due time! ----- #brand #pickup #promo #gear by @jonjanofficial
Played for a very nerdy but very motivated bunch over in Shanghai overlooking the entire city skyline recently, I'm not allowed to mention the company but swipe to see some of the best fan signage I've ever seen thanks to @janariewe and @pri_augusto - @pipbianchi you guys have competition! Thank you to all who where there, new faces and old. - Shout-out also to @hyatt_regency_sh_global_harbor for being awesome, especially our man the best villain Wesker, Dave 'Mike' on the buttons @mike_dunne_ and the incredible city of #Shanghai - Pic of me by the amazing @mea_fers with thanks to @the_gratitude_spot ----- #gig #guitar #fans #china by @jonjanofficial
How artists and gear are transported onto our #cruiseship gig when there is no dock out in the Pacific Ocean...after a tour of #EasterIsland for a day - Shout out to the incredible act @imanolandgeorgia sharing the ride with me and @hiscoxcases looking after my @yousguitar - The places music and being in the entertainment industry take me are insane... ----- #cruising #music #guitar #tender #easterisland @hiscoxcases @yousguitar #luxury by @jonjanofficial
Jonjan tonight. Last night’s Masterclass was a huge success — and tonight the energy continues. Il Palazzo is officially overbooked, and I have a feeling it’s going to be absolutely bursting at the seams. Music, people, energy and vibrance filling these beautiful old rooms again — bringing Il Palazzo back to life in exactly the way it deserves. Monteleone and the Sabine Hills, we’re ready to rock. #jonjan #jonjanofficial #Monteleone #monteleonesabino #sublimesabina #sabinehills #yousguitar @sublimesabina @yousguitar by @jonjanofficial
Jonjan somehow made one classical guitar sound like five instruments at once 😭 First Sofar Istanbul show, deep note nail appointment before the set hahaha, his family there with us… such a special night. He completely took us somewhere else. Video: @zaza.la.loca Sound: @_salihaturan by @jonjanofficial
Straight off the last cruise contract and dropped at a studio who's previous clients include Pink Floyd, MJ, Adele and David Bowie - @rakstudios hosting us for a performance with @sofarlondon before I head over to #EasterIsland for another cruise - Honour to play in such a sacred space, audience got their money's worth at this one... ----- #studio #secretgig #livemusic #london by @jonjanofficial
Always appreciate it when the performance contracts cover an extra seat ticket for the guitar so it’s not in the Baggage hold, hate the stress of waiting for it to come out from oversized... - However this time, credit to @british_airways for allowing it on spare seat on flight without an extra ticket and special thanks to @_.katerina.sk front desk @ Corfu Airport awhile back! ----- #musiciantravel #cruiseships #guitarist #musicianlife #intransit @hiscoxcases by @jonjanofficial
The seal of approval! A non musical highlight of my performing contract seeing seals gliding outside my cabin balcony and observing the beauty of Juan Fernandez Islands, close to Easter Island. ----- @seabourncruise #shiplife #marinelife #seal #juanfernandezisland by @jonjanofficial
I wanted to close the set inviting the two best guitarists from @seabourncruise 's fleet @alesander.morocho.z & @theocurtin to the stage handing over to the slickest ship House Band for a celebration of over the top guitar playing...and what better than Hendrix's Voodoo Child - To have such musicians join me on stage while floating along the North Atlantic ocean is a life privilege, to be paid for it at the same time is unreal...huge thanks to all the musicians and audience! ----- @floating.musician #cruiseships #shiplife @yousguitar @hiscoxcases by @jonjanofficial
