I want to thank everyone who came out this weekend and celebrated the FLY FLACO album release with us. I had a great time sharing the music with yall. It was awesome to have all yous come out and support the vinyl and @hiwavesupply merch as well. The whole night felt like a movie for real, everyone was fly, and the energy in the room was all love.Thank you to @thecitadel614 For hosting us in their wonderful space.

5 years ago today we dropped Sunshowers. This album for me represents growth, patience, trust, and the essence of the art form. Five years later! I’m still grateful for the art that we created, the people, we connected with and who we became along the way.

To anyone who streamed it, shared it, bought a hoodie, played it for a friend, or kept a track on repeat — you kept this alive. 5 years later, the love and support still hits different. Thank you!

▪️As we continue 2025, and get prepared for the next VIBE with Slim Karate, Jacoti & William Alexander ( Always Second #FranklintonFridays )…. We as a family decided to start a weekly post, introducing and giving a little personal insight, to the producers who run the event, as well as the close extended bloodline! Jon Rogers is a producer from Columbus, Ohio, formerly known as Maggz. With a career going back over 15 years, he’s worked with everyone from Rene Dion to Moka Only, as well as maintaining a solo career. Rogers really knows how to pack a lot of emotion and information into a small space. Hes explained his value system before in interviews, “I create music for life. A lot of people look at music like a movie or a video game. For me it’s like ‘naw, this is my art. Meticulous. This is color.” A staple mc ad well, Jon has the full skilled package for any corporate label guy, to the fans and artist family in the streets of his home town. Happy Birthday, Dad. You would've been 72 today. I remember when I visited you a few years ago for your birthday, and I brought you this here trumpet I had picked up for you. I remember the look of skepticism when you opened it and seen it wasn't a Bach Stradivarius. Lol. You still made it sounds like one, I love you, and I miss you so much. Loose Threads. Out now exclusively on Bandcamp. This is my first release since 2022. Loose Threads is a glimpse into the vaults of random works and ideas. I really don't want to hold onto music anymore, and with that said... I hope this is the beginning of more frequent releases in the near future.

This batch of beats is like a variety pack of flavors, a 15+ track blend of "ruff" works, and a few slightly more "developed" ideas. I tried to select the joints that resonated with me, and kept a lot of the traditional elements intact, that best represent my own unique style of beats. These are Jon type beats LOL

The bulk of these beats were made on FL Studio, sp-303, sp-404, and Koala Sampler. Mostly between 2023-2024. People always ask me what I'm working on, but I haven't been working on anything specific. Life has been busy... still, I try to get in here and create when I'm inspired. I really appreciate everyone who supports what I do, I hope yall enjoy this one.

It was an privilege to attend the @wexarts center at OSU to hear the legendary @easymobee share some of his stories about the industry, as well as talking about his technique, style, and having originality. It was amazing to hear these classic beats played right out of the #sp1200. Afterwards @richst.records was a dope vibe, Mo BEE played a 45 dj set, and @mixmasterice was spinning classics,Thanks to @jrawls82 for pushing the culture. Flashback, This was 2014, I had been moving around palying live beat sets for about 3 or 4 years at this point. I traveled out to TX for SXSW twice, Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh, I put out a series of beat tapes, I was fresh off the Renee Dion album release, and the Lincoln Theater Live event. Looking back, at this time... things were kinda cooking.

At the last minute, I was invited by @djosharp to come and play some beats at the @jrawls82 "Legacy" Album Release event they were hosting down in the Brewery District that weekend. I had already seen the promo, and I was planning on attending the event anyways, so I agreed to join the line-up. All dope producers who did work on the album, and all of whom I was familiar with.

I seen that @kevbrownpictures was on the bill to play some beats off his #MPC2000XL , wow, man. I had been a huge fan of Kev Brown's work for quite a few years. I had met Kev years back in PGH, PA at a show he performed at with Low Budget, I copped some CD's from him, he signed for me. But we didn't know eachother, I was just glad to get those CDs.

I was doing all my sets off the #SP404SX, at the time I had just upgraded from OG 404 for playing out. I already had loaded up some joints I was working on, and I knew they would sound good. I had recently done a set in Chicago, and the response was great, S/O Push Beats.

The energy in the room this night, man, it was incredible.
It was a really dope event overall. But for me, it was a rare chance to showcase my work locally, with other dope producers. And to play joints for one of my favorite beatmakers, and someone who had quite a profound influence on my sound. Shoutout to Kev. And everyone else who was in attendance.

After this event @jrawls82 asked me to remix a couple of joints from the "Legacy" album, which was a great honor as well. Ill try to post those later. Also, RIH to the brother @dj_buka . Gone but never forgotten. 🕊
