“I just wanted to take a nap”

Once again, it’s Dilla week and I am celebrating the GOAT with a tribute to the 20th Anniversary of his stellar album, DONUTS.

February 8 I will release a video tribute of myself performing over his iconic album on YouTube.

Enjoy!

Sat down to chat with @jonlaine about our new release, “Waiting for You - Fast Laine remix.” When Jon sent me his remix of my song “Waiting for You,” I was blown away. Here is a little about our process behind our new release. If you like what you hear, check out the full version on your favorite music streaming platform. 🎶🎶🎶 by @jonlaine

LAST DONUT OF THE NIGHT

The fun I had with this project was recreating Dilla’s drum patterns.
Thanks to @jays.drum.closet for the clap stack that gets a lot of attention when I’m on tour.

Peach Brandy Lemonade cocktail - EASY recipe

2 oz Peach Brandy
1 oz Lemonade (or fresh lemon juice)
1 oz simple syrup (I used Vanilla Ginger from @sw7kensington)
Add a garnish of mint leaves or thin peach slices

Tasty. Although @allielaine said it smelled like cough syrup, Ollie approved because he liked the color of it

When my wife and I bought our first home in Maryland in 2021, the one thing that I dreamed of having was a room to call my own.

The Laine Lounge isn’t just a studio, it’s a sanctuary for me, and a relaxing atmosphere for anyone who comes through.

Shoutout to @pinterest for inspiring some decor, the content creators who specialize in interior design, and special tools to continue the maintenance needed for a clean up, and after a slew of shows, lessons, and gearing up the last week of school for the boys, I’ve found some motivation in making my space a welcoming environment.

How’d I do @homewithcolin? 😅

2026 marks 10 years with the Ludwig Drum Company.

Beyond stoked is truly not enough to express my gratitude and appreciation for Uli, Ben, the entire staff, employees, and label mates I’m able to share my experience with. Ludwig Drums has captured the true essence of customer service and support of their drummers and percussionists.

Enjoy just a few snaps and videos through the last decade of my involvement with “Luddys”

Thank you @ludwigdrumshq
Hope to have 10 more

Just finished a four city tour of Australia opening for one of my favorite music groups.

De La Soul (@wearedelasoul) inspired me to enjoy music, not just listen to it.

”Potholes in my lawn” had a much different vibe than that of any song by LL, Rakim, BDK, and the Beastie’s.

To be in this moment hanging with @plugwondelasoul and @djmaseo while having breakfast in the hotel was a magical experience I never thought I’d witness. Pos and I even discussed hair care…sorta….👨🏿‍🦲👨🏿‍🦲

Thanks to the De La team, to my brothers Oddisee and Good Compny, and all the new fans.

Last leg of the tour in Asia begins in Taipei. taken in Sydney by @jonlaine
