This weekend we celebrate the big 6-0 for our dear friend @toddsniderlive , and by gawd it’s going to be one hell of a party. Friday, My Second Rodeo, Todd’s new album, hits stores and streaming platforms. There’s a listening party at @vinyltapnashville on Saturday during happy hour. Then Sunday, the neighborhood is giving 11th Street over to Todd, literally. The section of 11th that houses @thepurplebuilding will now be Todd Snider Way, and to commemorate the occasion, the gang is getting together to play some songs about chicks and cars & partyin’ hard.

Hope to see some friendly faces and hug some necks.

Friday, October 30, it’s WEIRD PALLOWEEN at @the5spotnashville , the best way to kick off the spooky weekend festivities in East Nashville.

A full night of musical tricks and treats courtesy of Weird Pals, the world’s premiere tribute to the music of @alfredyankovic . Afterwards, the party doesn’t end because DJ @gordovallarta will be serving up a spooky set of tunes to dance the fright away.

Costumes encouraged.

This Friday, I feel privileged to to take part in a night dedicated to the musical legacy of Bob Weir. Such a rich tapestry of work, as much a counterpoint to the Garcia/Hunter catalogue as it is essentially integral to the entire body of work by the Grateful Dead.

Sure to be a very special night. Sure hope you will come along with us.

We’re getting together in East Nashville on October 9 to celebrate the life and music of Bobby Weir, play the songs we love, and raise money to help people in need. ACE is an independently organized gathering of friends, musicians and Deadheads — not an official Grateful Dead or Weir family event.

Anyone who knows me and has followed me for the last few years knows how special @sallyjaye is to me. From the days back when we were part of the big.Cafe Rooster family, and her numerous projects here in town, including @pinkbirdsband and No. 1 Knife, Sally transforms the stories and characters that have shaped her through the years into some of the most amazing songs I’ve ever heard.

This record has been a long time coming, and I promise you it was well worth the wait. I love this record so much, as I love her so much.

It’s been hard to listen to Todd in the past year. To have been in his orbit was one of the most unique and special experiences of my life, and it seemed damn near impossible to live in the stories and songs without the weight of the loss consuming the joy and clouding the memories.

As we approach his birthday month, and with the harvest moon heralding the change of seasons, Audrey said today, “I think we need some Todd Snider vibes today.”

So here I am with ol’ TS, remembering what drew me to his music years ago. He sounds great. I miss him, but in a way, he’s always around, most likely wondering if I can play some Howlin’ Wolf licks for that blues band he wants to get off the ground. taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @jonlathampics

Dear friends,

@2harvestmidtn is doing important work in a very dire time for a so many folks in need here in middle Tennessee. That work is powered by amazing volunteers and the contributions in the spirit of love and good charity from those who can give.

It is in that spirit that I am thrilled to be part of Harvest Moon: A Neil Young Tribute at @eastsidebowl on Saturday, October 17! More than 20 Nashville artists are coming together to celebrate the music of Neil Young while supporting the incredible work that Second Harvest continues to do in our community and the surrounding areas in middle Tennessee.

Doors 7 PM / Show 8 PM. Food donation bins will be on site, so bring a nonperishable item and come help us fight hunger. You bring the food, we’ll bring the tunes, and together, we can bring hope to so many who need a little help.
