POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It’s #telesnaptuesday with @toyingwithideas - The Doctor’s flying solo for a trip back home, but his old frenemy the Master has got there first and has set up an elaborate prank involving visions, conspiracy theories, murder, ancient relics and a trip into cyberspace!

For this one I decided to challenge myself by making a custom Dapol version of the Doctor in timelord robes and an in-scale version of the decaying master. For the Doctor I had to go full Face/Off, transplanting his face (and some of his curls) from the standard Dapol fourth Doctor onto the head peg of a Dapol Timelord, with its face sawed off with a Dremel. I filled in the joins with some Milliput and sculpted in some skullcap details along with painting him orange.

The Master is a Kenner Emperor Palpatine body, painted black with a Playmobil skull glued onto the peg. This was painted, two polystyrene balls were added for eyes with a custom cape and hood finishing it all off.

Additional Timelord figures by Dapol. Panopticon Backgrounds by @the_action_figure_theatre (many thanks!) taken in Gallifrey by @jonniehotdog

This week marks the 25th Anniversary of the release of Final Fantasy X in Japan (it wouldn't arrive here in Europe until about a year later).

The stoty of Tidus, transported the land of Spira, where he meets Yuna, who is on a quest to save her people, knowing that she will die in doing so. This was my first and favourite Final Fantasy game and remains one of my top 10 video games of all time.

I took my Bandai Yuna and Tidus figures to the beach to try and recreate the feel of the game, working with their very limited articulation!

The Cybermen menace The Doctor and Sarah aboard the Nerva Beacon.

It's #telesnaptuesday with @toyingwithideas and we come to the story that the fans inexplicably voted to be the first Doctor Who VHS back in the Eighties... "Revenge of the Cybermen". A lesson in the dangers of nostalgia, perhaps...

All figures are by Character Options with backgrounds from the excellent @the_action_figure_theatre

Cynthia and Garchomp / シロナとがブリアス

Cynthia is my favourite Pokémon Champion - She has such a stylish design! She's pictured here withher signature Pokémon, Garchomp, who, given the scale difference between Jazwares and Taraka Tomy looks a bit more like a Mega-Garchomp! 😄

"Take your weapon ‐ strike me down with all of your hatred and your journey towards the Dark Side will be complete!"

I really love this scene - did Luke surrender to his anger? Would he have struck Palpatine if Vader hadn't intervened? Did Vader stop him to protect his master or to save his son?

Featured here are a wonderful 3‐D printed Emperor head/hood and chair from @trash_compactor_customs

Backgrounds are by @thenext17.shop

Figure wise it's a Retro Collection 'Dark Times' Vader and a custom 'Throne Room Luke', made by headswapping a Jedi Knight Luke onto an Endor Luke body. Endor Luke is a recent acquisition and my first genuine 'Last 17' figure, that I got at a very reasonable price from @monkeysemporium

Robot. Great story, dull title.

It's #telesnaptuesday with @toyingwithideas. The best era of Who may be finished, but the second best (with the best TARDIS team) has just begun!

Artoria Pendragon, weilding the legendary sword Excalibur is manifested centuries beyond her time through the power of the Holy Grail, to fight in the Grail Wars as the servant class 'Sabre'

When I watched the anime Fate /Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, the gender‐swapped King Arthur, Sabre, stood out as my favourite character - I just adore her overall design. This was the first Figma figure I owned and is the wonderful 2.0 version, which I was able to buy second-hand for a reasonable price from eBay!

Photo taken at Loch an Eilen, in the Scottish Highlands on a beautiful late afternoon in late April.

"Look Brigadier, I think it's starting!"
"Well... here we go again."

It's #telesnaptuesday with @toyingwithideas and the Pertwee Years have come to a close on the Planet of the Spiders.

I know that this serial isn't always held in high regard, but I really enjoy it - I love that eposode 2 is just one long chase and I like the way that it is both an Earth based UNIT story and a jaunt to a strange alien planet, which just encapsulates the whole era. It's also the first time we see the Doctor knowingly go to their death, beacause it's the right thing to do.

Addional picture: The Doctor returns to Metebelis 3, to face his fate.

Custom Dapol Third Doctor, Custom Sarah Jane, using Adventure People, Custom Brigadier, using Action Force. The TARDIS is by Master Replicas and the UNIT lab background is by @the_action_figure_theatre

"Where are those transmissions you intercepted? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH THOSE PLANS?!"

I love how in this early scene, Vader is so quickly esablished as someone who has no mercy, will stop at nothing to achieve his goals and is not to be messed with!

The fish-eye effect was achieved through dowloading an app for my phone. The Tantive IV background was made by me, using hand-drawn detailing. Vader is vintage Kenner with a custom head pin, allowing greater movement. Captain Antilles is a repainted General Madine figure with a helmet from @trash_compactor_customs. The Stormtroopers are by #stansolo.

It's #telesnaptuesday with @toyingwithideas. I'm running a bit behind, but that's because I wanted to submit this recently uncovered lost page, allegedly from a Dapol product catalogue detailing the planned, but cancelled "Time Warrior Gift Set". I'm sure this is absolutely 100% genuine...
