success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts

When I was little I was afraid to sleep by myself. Late at night I would climb up my parent’s bed and squeeze down below at their feet. Even though I was smelling their feet the entire night, I felt safe.

I was later told that I was too old to sleep with them when I feel scared. She claimed that I had to be strong for there will be one day that I’ll have to sleep alone.

I’m sleeping by myself now mama. I miss you so much. You fought hard till the end and I know you’re enjoying running around up there.
