Meet the @seadogpaddleseries top four👇

🐶 Jonny The Golden Retriever
A paddler, a lifeguard, and anything athletic. He is a golden retriever, a walking green flag, friendly, funny, smiles like he was born for a Colgate ad, and for reasons unknown to mankind… still single.

🐋 Toby The English Whale Shark
A gentle giant from the UK, but when he paddles he opens his mouth like he’s inhaling air, water, and possibly the hopes and dreams of everyone in front of him. Elegance? Questionable. Speed? Unmatched. Performance? Cinematic. As if narrated by David Attenborough himself.

🦟 Kiko the Mosquito
Just when you think he’s gone… he’s back. Blink once and he’s suddenly next to you. Annoyingly consistent, terrifyingly fast, and somehow impossible to get rid of. Can make you stress but also make you laugh. Nickname credits to @dawidmocke

🪸 Reef the Coral Man
Part athlete, part marine structure. Marine biologists are still trying to understand how this Reef survived out of water. Drifting somewhere between focus and chaos. Perfectly harmless unless you’re in his line.

🌊 Boards, Waves, Bragging Rights!
Last season’s men’s board race at Western Cape Champs had everything: tight finishes, fierce rivalries, and non-stop action.

Levi Mayes stamped his dominance on the field, taking the win. The Fish Hoek Surf Lifesaving athlete also secured the overall board title for the season with this victory. Rounding out the podium, he was followed closely by Johnny Lucas and Robert Tweedle from Llandudno Surf Lifesaving Club.

We can’t wait to see the season opener of this event in action this weekend at the Battle of the Bays in Muizenburg. With more waves on offer, who will take the Open Men’s Board title for their Bay? It’s more than just a competition—it’s Atlantic vs False Bay, pride and bragging rights on the line.

Australia 2024! 🇦🇺

It’s difficult to describe in detail what I experienced in the past 3 months living and training on the Gold Coast with the best surf lifesavers in the world! There were many highs and lows but I am truly grateful for this amazing experience! Many life lessons learnt.

I want to say a very big thank you to @kevmorrnz for all the training sessions, guidance and hospitality during my time at Northcliffe. An amazing coach and father!
Then to all the boys at Northcliffe, thank you! You definitely make the squad what it is! True athletes and people.

Finally, towards the end of my stay, it’s always great to put on the Llandudno skull cap and compete against the best athletes in the world at the @2024lwc
An experience I’ll always remember!
