VNT 008 incoming.

Something a little different from Vent Records this time. Sharron Kraus and Em Burrows draw on the songs of female troubadours from the 12th and 13th centuries, bringing their words and melodies into a distinctly modern setting. An intriguing meeting of medieval folk traditions, electronic textures and contemporary songwriting, spanning some 800 years.

Sharron Kraus is an English singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose work draws on traditional British and Appalachian folk, psychedelia, folklore and experimental music. Recording since the early 2000s, she has collaborated with artists including Meg Baird, Helena Espvall, Justin Hopper and The Belbury Poly. Her extensive discography includes releases on Ghost Box, Clay Pipe Music, Cardinal Fuzz, Feeding Tube Records, Sunstone and Camera Obscura among others.

**Em Burrows**

Perth-based musician, songwriter and broadcaster Em Burrows draws on psychedelic folk, experimental pop and electronica. Formerly of psych-folk band The Lammas Tide and Web Rumors, she has also released solo material. She presented The Golden Apples of the Sun on RTRFM and later Travelling Circuits on Berlin's THF Radio, exploring folk, psychedelia and experimental music. Her work includes researching and reinterpreting traditional British folk, alongside a longstanding involvement in independent music and community radio.

Pre-order will be up over the next few days, limited to 99 copies total. #ventrecordswallasey #lathecutvinyl #vinylrelease @thatmarkglover is Vent Records😉 #sharronkraus by @jonny_magus

I'll be playing at The Halfway House for the Hug On A Tray charity event tomorrow evening, For Matt. It is from 5pm and the raffle prizes have turned into a huge list. All.proceeds ro Hug On A Tray and the event starts at 5pm🎸🎸#leedsmusicscene #charitygig #singersongwriter by @jonny_magus

I'll be playing at Matt's charity event for Hug On A Tray. Matt is the co-owner of Seven Hills in Morley. He has unexpectedly taken ill with leukaemia and a decimated immune system, and he has been in isolation having treatment.
Matt suggested the charity, as they help haematology patients. The event is at the bigger Halfway House pub in Morley, as Seven Hills is a small bar. There's a raffle with a monumental amount of prizes to raise money for the charity. It is on Sunday from 5pm😉 #charitygig #leedsmusicscene by @jonny_magus
