2026 Director Reel 🔥
.
Its been a while since I've updated my reel so I wanted to throw this guy together. Since taking a break from touring I've found myself falling back in love with music video and vfx work (I will be making a vfx/editing reel sometime soon). However, I'm here with the problem that not everyone realizes I'm home and staying around all year.

Anyone who knows me knows its not like me to commit to one city this long. I'm normally the type of person to see however states I can travel to/live in, in a year. The Milwaukee/Kenosha Wi community will always have a place in my heart though.

All that to say my year is slowly filling up but I'm hoping to start connecting with even more artists in my area and hopefully start making some really cool art together.

Best,

Armored Laceration ⚔️
.
I've recently been getting back into photography over videos more and more. I've always had my own unique style and its cool getting to explore my own art style again. In other words expect more photo posts from me in the near future because I've been enjoying these jobs.

I've also started using my canon lens on my sony camera. The low light capabilities of sony mixed with the colors and sharp glass of my canon glass has been a game changer for my work overall!

Shout out @armoredlaceration_band for always trusting my ideas and direction with them! taken in Holy Hill by @jonny_nightmare

Winner Of The Rapid Fire Action Scene Contest 🏆
.
Happy to announce I won this years Rapid Fire Action Scene Contest. I was given one hour to film a fight scene that wasn't even choreographed until I walked in the door. Every action and creative angle I had to make up as we went.

Along with that, part of the contest was to see how fast you can turn the video around so I made sure to send this one off 24 hours later.

Thank you to @nanibell127 and @corvusxmke for helping with the quick set up/tear down along with bts. Thank you to @featuring_ferreria for helping me add in the voice over work in the beginning of the film. Shout out @richard.lee.schmidt and @thislsdavid to rolling with my weird shot ideas in the short time given! And lastly @thislsdavid for running this contest and given me the chance to mess around with a fight scene!

Hope everyone enjoys what we made and if it gets enough attention I'd love to film a video talking about the process for making this happen!

Ireland 2026 🇮🇪
.
Recently got back from a crazy trip circling the coast of Ireland. This was my first time to see the country outside of dublin and it was so gorgeous. So many amazing new memories I'll be holding onto for a while. I have plenty more photos to share as well but for now here's some of my favorites (in vertical formatting for Instagram lol)

Excuse my crazy desk lighting lol
.
Quick breakdown of how much went into this 7 second animation for @boocrue last year at @aftershockfestival . I didn't even go into things like the world building, the cloth animation I did for the tent, or the fact that rendering this out on the road was a complete nightmare lol I remember having a lot of fun learning on this one. If I had the time, I would have made way more animated intros for these show recaps! Its awesome to see everything come full circle because now its mostly all I do 🙏 by @jonny_nightmare

Why should independent filmmakers learn digital Special Effects, and how long does it take to get good at it?
Filmmaker, cinematographer, and visual effects artist Jonny Servais [ @jonny_nightmare ] shares his experience using 3D animation in Blender, Unreal Engine, and other software for his films and music videos during an interview conducted and produced by students from The Main Gallery, a City of Racine, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department [ @racineprcs ] program.
