"When She Loved Me" by Randy Newman and Sarah McLachlan.

Surely the most heartbreaking song from any children's film, I hear this as if sung from a parent to a child, rather than from a toy.

Randy Newman sure knows how to stick a melody on top of some chords.

I'm not too shabby at that myself, which is why you should come to my show in Margate on Nov 1st!

More tour dates coming soon

$"Everything Means Nothing To Me" by Elliott Smith. This is my favourite Elliott Smith mode - what I think of as his "fractured reflection of jewellery box ballet dancer" mode. Meaning has collapsed, like another Eliot's "heap of broken images". What was promised did not come to pass. And the gestures we once thought so honourable are rendered pitifully empty. Sick tune! Come to my show in Margate on Nov 1st please! 😊 Tickets in bio (linktree) xx #elliottsmith #everythingmeansnothing #baritoneguitar #jonnyforever by @jonnyforever_$
