I was so happy to discover after our show at @thelighthouse50 earlier this year that it was recorded. It is our pleasure to announce that the full album is now available on bandcamp. All proceeds will be split evenly among the trio. Huge thanks to David Hatton for recording, and @jessekoolhaas for mixing.

Of course, live is never perfect - nor should it be - but I think these recordings perfectly capture the musical brotherhood I’ve shared for so long with the Dans. It hurts my heart that we don’t get to play together more often, but whenever we do we always pick up right where we left off. 😌 Hope you enjoy, link in bio! by @jonomccleery

Been meaning to share this for a while. Had a wonderful concert with @bartwirtz at Kulturzentrum Linse, Ravensburg on Dec 12, 2025. Bart had never performed this song before but it didn’t seem to matter because the audience were amazing, and we felt free to play with the music. I think it has some of the most beautiful lyrics ever written by Leonard Cohen, and I must also cite Nina Simone as an inspiration for how I approach singing it. The full concert is available to listen to on my Patreon.

Warm thanks to Thomas at @jazztimerv for inviting us and recording the show.

I began trying to make a compilation of my favourite videos from the show this week, but gave up and decided that this captured the essence of what’s important to me.

The experience of playing with this quintet for the first time made me question what it is I seek from live performance. It’s definitely not just about replicating the studio versions of songs, but about creating an experience in the moment.

I’ve written songs knowing they would leave space for the musicians I perform with to put their own imprint on the music, and sometimes that comes into full effect. There is a band dynamic at play, where everyone is playing to lift the song to another level. Sometimes it just keeps lifting and lifting, taking us to places I’ve never felt before.

I live for that feeling, and I’m incredibly grateful to have found musicians I can share it with, and an audience to experience it alongside us. Hopefully we can do some more together soon. Thanks!
