Being a producer is about so much more than schedules, budgets, logistics, and putting out fires.

It’s about people.

It’s about surrounding yourself with talented, passionate, hardworking individuals who genuinely give a shit about what they do. People who show up, find solutions, push boundaries, and somehow manage to turn chaos into something incredible.

There’s something special about bringing a group of people together, each with their own skills, personalities, and perspectives, and watching it all come to life.

Producing isn’t always glamorous. It’s long hours, difficult conversations, constant problem-solving, and making a hundred decisions nobody ever sees.

But when you’re surrounded by good people, even the hardest days become worth it. taken in Dubai, United Arab Emirates by @jonopiercy

The last few weeks have been such a wonderful reminder of how life can change for the better. You never know how incredible things can turn out with the right people in your life. A BIG Thanks to @kezsnaps I had no idea a simple instagram message 5 years ago could lead to an adventure like this. taken in Leticia, Amazonas by @jonopiercy

A quiet evening on the Amazon. The sky turns to fire, then slowly gives way to the storm.

There is something about this place I can’t quite explain. It moves at its own pace, untouched by the urgency of the world.

Out here, drifting quietly beneath an endless sky, it feels as though something lost has been found, and something I once knew has quietly fallen away.

A strange kind of peace.

I think I’ve fallen in love with Colombia. taken in Leticia, Amazonas by @jonopiercy

After an incredible chapter, it’s time for me to say goodbye to my Boomtown Productions family. ❤️

A huge thank you to Bruce Macdonald and Shane Martin for the incredible opportunity, the trust you placed in me, and everything you’ve taught me along the way. The past few years have given me unforgettable experiences, incredible projects, and lessons that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my career. You’ve both played a huge part in shaping who I am today, both professionally and personally, and for that I’m truly grateful.

But don’t worry, it’s not really goodbye 😂. I’m not going anywhere! Dubai is still home. I’ll be available as a freelancer. 😊

I’m simply changing direction, and I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes me.

Thank you to everyone at Boomtown and to all the brilliant people I’ve had the privilege of working with along the way. It’s been one hell of a journey, and I know there are many more adventures ahead!!! taken in Dubai,UAE by @jonopiercy

It was a privilege to produce the Make it in the Emirates hero film this year.

Having such a strong team made the entire experience incredibly rewarding. With tight deadlines, ambitious creative ideas, and a production schedule that required so much to be achieved in a single day, @aliasusual did an exceptional job directing a truly powerful film.

What we created would never have been possible without every single person involved going the extra mile. From pre-production through to delivery, the dedication, talent, and commitment shown by the team was remarkable. I couldn’t be more grateful to have worked alongside such a passionate group of individuals.Very proud of what we achieved together, and even more proud of the people who made it happen. 🎬💪 taken in Dubai,UAE by @jonopiercy

The last few months have been a reminder that life is rarely a straight line.

There have been big decisions, unexpected turns, highs that felt endless and lows that taught valuable lessons. Through it all, there were scooters on dusty roads, surfboards chasing waves that never came, late-night parties that turned into sunrise conversations, and adventures that weren’t planned but somehow became the best memories.

The biggest lesson? Growth rarely happens when you’re comfortable. It happens when you’re moving, changing, taking chances, and surrounding yourself with people who make even the ordinary moments feel extraordinary.

Grateful for the friends, the chaos, the laughter, the lessons, and every mile of the journey so far.

Here’s to whatever comes next.

The last two weeks have been pretty incredible. Working out in the desert. Waking up before the sun rises and going to bed long after it has set. Minimal sleep, endless dust, and more coffee than any of us would care to admit.

But what a production.

A group of incredibly talented people came together from different backgrounds, disciplines, and corners of the industry to create something truly unique. Long days turned into longer nights, challenges became opportunities, and somehow, through teamwork, determination, and a shared commitment to excellence, everything came together.Exhausting? Absolutely.

Worth it? Every single second.

To everyone who played a part in making it happen, thank you. It has been an unforgettable experience and a reminder that the best productions are never just about the final result. They are about the people who come together to make the impossible possible. 💪🌅🏜️ by @jonopiercy
