Avenue 66 opens Series 33 with a Düsseldorf–Lyon connection.

After several LPs, Jonquera returns to the EP format with Cause & Utility / Tales of Decay. Built from improvised drum, bass, and vocal recordings, the tracks are reworked through heavy looping and acoustic treatment, a method inspired by his recent live shows. Cause & Utility revolves around the abstract idea of two dogs as concepts, enriched by the earthy drone of a hurdy-gurdy. Tales of Decay paints a surreal image of a house losing its rooms like a body shedding parts.

The MPC sorcerer Tolouse Low Trax, aka Detlef Weinrich, brings his Düsseldorf circuitry and autobahn funk with two tracks of pure rhythm apparition. Amp is a quintessential Tolouse Low Trax cut, built on concealed rhythmic structures, swampy bass lines, and fragments of radio and voice samples. The piece extends his exploration of how art can mirror the flow of inner-city traffic; drifting without a clear climax. Solid Rock echoes this idea, first conceived as a variation on Amp where particles repeat themselves. The result is distinct yet conceptually linked, evoking the density of a crowded neighboring city: beginning in apparent disarray before locking into an abstract, hypnotic funk.

Series 33 begins with the convergence of Jonquera’s looping experiments and Tolouse Low Trax’s mechanical psychedelia, a dialogue between Lyon and Düsseldorf.

Jonquera’s Cause & Delay + Tolouse Low Trax’s Amp are both out today digitally with the full release and vinyl to follow on September 25th by @jonquera__

Adiciatz - Musique Domestique LP (Aguirre, 2026)

Edition of 400 copies with hand-assembled letterpress sleeves and insert.

Musique Domestique marks the debut full-length from French duo Adiciatz, a project that emerges from the shared musical curiosity of Manon Nogier and Guillaume Lespinasse. Living near Lyon and making music together since before the pandemic, the pair developed their sound during lockdown improvisations at home — a creative process that quickly revealed a unique musical chemistry rooted as much in folk tradition as in experimental exploration.

Drawing on a wide palette of influences — from Occitan poetry, delicate folk to drone and spontaneous sound exploration — Adiciatz makes music that feels both intimate and expansive. Nogier’s voice and amplified taisho koto weave through Lespinasse’s keyboards, machines and percussive touches, forming a sonic world where ritualistic soft folk melodies coexist with subtle electronic textures.

Their live performances, including an appearance at the Meakusma Festival, where their set blurred the line between concert and séance, have already shown how this blend comes to life in front of audiences, with hypnotic vocals, spiralling chords and slow, trance-like rhythms inviting listeners into a space that is both meditative and evocative.

On Musique Domestique, those live-rooted sensibilities are distilled into recorded form. The album moves fluidly between rich pastoral folk and instrumental meanderings. Musique Domestique announces Adiciatz as a compelling new voice at the intersection of folk, experimental and electronic music crafted with care and intuition. by @jonquera__

On Sunday, August 30th, @localservice__ opens the season by returning to the rooms of @ciq_milano , our old home in Corvetto, where we spent an entire season together.
For this special occasion, we’re happy to welcome:

@jonquera__ and @officium__ ‘s collaborative project is born from friendship and a shared curiosity for the hazy spaces between psychedelic and electronic music. Their sound combines drums, guitar, hurdy-gurdy, and synthesizers in a deliberately unclassifiable blend, where everything unfolds slowly and organically. A handcrafted music shaped by instinct, mutual listening, and the subtle interplay of sounds.

@jo_muin_3055 is where strings and circuits meet, blending the fragility of the human voice with the unpredictability of the digital. An experimental folk project that looks at reality with an unfiltered gaze, creating intimate, contemporary soundscapes.

The doors open with residents @monicawittyy and @al__paino on the decks, taking us deep into the winding paths of psychedelic dub.

Durante 𝒍𝒖̈𝒓𝒊𝒂 intrecceremo materie diverse senza cancellarne le differenze. Le pratiche di @mir.a_____, @leo.ula, @jonquera__ + @officium__ e @big__hands nascono proprio qui: nel punto in cui strumenti, elettronica, ambiente e memoria cominciano a modificarsi a vicenda.

@jonquera__ + @officium__ trasformano l’ascolto reciproco in improvvisazione. Batteria, chitarra, ghironda e sintetizzatori intrecciano folk, ambient e psichedelia in forme sempre mobili.

@leo.ula raccoglie registrazioni ambientali, melodie pop e frammenti personali. Li cuce insieme in una musica fragile e luminosa, vicina alla consistenza del sogno.

@mir.a_____ libera il violino dal virtuosismo per riscoprirne legno, ritmo e vibrazione. Pizzicati, voce e sintetizzatori fanno riaffiorare l’arcaico nel contemporaneo.

@big__hands usa mixer, feedback, strumenti acustici ed elettronici come materia viva. Attraverso il dub, mette in relazione techno, free jazz, psichedelia e memorie mediterranee.

During 𝒍𝒖̈𝒓𝒊𝒂, we will weave together different materials without erasing their differences. The practices of @mir.a_____ , @leo.ula, @jonquera__ + @officium__ and @big__hands emerge precisely here: at the point where instruments, electronics, environment and memory begin to transform one another.

@jonquera__ + @officium__ turn mutual listening into improvisation. Drums, guitar, hurdy-gurdy and synthesisers weave folk, ambient and psychedelia into ever-shifting forms.

@leo.ula gathers field recordings, pop melodies and personal fragments. She stitches them together into music that is fragile and luminous, close to the texture of a dream.

@mir.a_____ frees the violin from virtuosity to rediscover its wood, rhythm and vibration. Pizzicato, voice and synthesisers bring the archaic to the surface of the contemporary.

@big__hands uses mixers, feedback, acoustic and electronic instruments as living matter. Through dub, he brings techno, free jazz, psychedelia and Mediterranean memories into relation.

Kuntari nomme son genre Primal Core. Le duo indonésien expérimente avec batterie et trompette une musique faite de voix primitives produisant des cris d’accouplement d’animaux, le tout mélangé à une multitude de variations de rythmes tribaux indonésiens. La musique produit un son primal percussif qui s’entremêle naturellement dans des ambiances sombres, créant une dynamique intense de rythmes anciens. Leurs performances live dévoilent une approche sauvage au son brut organique indompté.Sorti sur les labels Yes No Wave et Grimloc Records, Kuntari n’a cessé ces derniers temps de tourner dans les plus grands festivals expérimentaux européens, laissant une merveilleuse empreinte à l’étranger. Son album en 2021 a été élu meilleur album de l’année par Jakarta Post et 2ème meilleur album de l’année par Vice en 2022. Immanquable.
