POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

As we celebrate four years of LAPS Recordings, we kick off the individual single rollout for our anniversary compilation with LAPSRND04S1. Marking the first chapter of this celebratory showcase, this release sets an immersive, deeply cinematic tone, focusing on the melodic, deep, and trancy spectrum of modern electronic music before we head into rougher territory. 🖤

The single opens with Ulm-based talents @hinueber_ and @jonsnow.audio with their standout track 'Swordfight'. Seamlessly blending elements of Melodic House and Techno with a subtle, infectious Indie Dance flair, the track thrives on its fluid groove. What truly defines 'Swordfight' is a playful, nostalgic vocal sample—reminiscent of classic video game aesthetics—that gives the tune its unique, versatile character on the dancefloor. 🎡

Next up, label co-founder @vankost delivers 'The Essence Is Love'. Now operating out of Berlin, he crafts a deep, hypnotic journey that hovers perfectly between progressive structures and classic raw trance. Built around powerful chords and classic 7th dub-house structures, the track radiates a beautiful old-school flavor while maintaining a modern, hypnotic club drive. 🌀

Closing out this first wave is a familiar face of the label family, @kidkun, with his captivating cut 'Nightmare'. Infusing his deep electronic sound with distinct influences from his breakbeat roots, 'Nightmare' is a thick, highly atmospheric late-night tool characterized by a haunting, deep square-synth melody that lends the track its profound, immersive warehouse vibe. 🚨
