HUGE HAPPY FUCKING BIRTHDAY TO THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE RIFF MASTER HIMSELF @kirkmichaelwindstein of the all mighty @crowbarmusic , I happened to meet Kirk when I brought my parents to see Crowbar, Sacred Reich and Sepultura at @theraveusa back in 2022, and without a doubt, Kirk and his wife were some of the most humble and welcoming people I have ever met, I remember they were dancing in front of their merch booth together while Sepultura ripped and it was the most wholesome thing I’d never thought I’d see at a metal show, and from their set, that interaction, and that feeling I got hearing the breakdown on Cemetery Angels for the first time, I from then on became a Crowbar fan for life. Happy Birthday!! by @jonthestatic

In December of 2016, I found a cat sifting through my parent’s trash. After noticing, I slipped outside and left a piece of bologna for him because I love cats. Well after that first piece he came back for seconds, which led to me rescuing him from the freezing cold and taking him in. For 10 years, this cat has been with me through some of the best and worst times of my life, and whenever I was feeling my lowest, I could always depend on Skiba to come lick my face and cuddle with me, a reminder that no matter what, it will be okay. Today, Skiba crossed the golden gate in the sky and I’m at a loss of words and far from okay. He was more than a cat, he was my best friend and I love him and miss him so much. Go give Taylor some cuddles in heaven, and when it’s my time, I hope to see you on the other side and get some more of you’re cuddles. I love you Skiba, thank you for saving my life. by @jonthestatic

I done fucked up the end 😭. But here’s my take on trying to do the “Hot For Teacher” intro by @vanhalen with a single kick pedal 😂. (I might have messed up the intro too 👀😭) ((also you know I had to represent the @therealicp )) #vanhalen #hotforteacher #drums by @jonthestatic

First comic purchase of the year (honestly it’s been a couple years since I bought a comic book) so why not buy an original @thefreakbrothers comic book from 1971 🤷🏻‍♂️🔥. For a comic book that’s over 55 years old, it’s in a solid condition ❤️ #freakbrothers by @jonthestatic

Word on the street is @tsol_official played their final shows recently and I just want to reflect on my personal experience with the band, their crew, and of course meeting Jack Grisham. I got to see them on the 2017 Warped Tour, and though I was ecstatic about going to a warped tour in general, I was stoked on 2 bands that I needed to see, TSOL and Adolescents. TSOL put on such a memorable and phenomenal show that I can’t begin to describe how excited I was getting to see legends on stage. After their set I saw Jack meeting fans at the merch table and thanks to my friend Steins, I gained the courage to stand in line to meet him. Mind you I grew up watching videos of TSOL and my dad always loved blasting TSOL in the car or in the house and was so nervous yet excited to meet one of the people that contributed to the soundtrack of my childhood. Before I got to meet him, some random dude (who I will say was fucking obnoxious) was begging Jack to talk to his girlfriend on the phone, which instantly, a bulb went off in my head and I had an idea. So when it was as my turn to meet Jack I asked if it was cool if he could call my Dad since he grew up listening to them as well, and Jack couldn’t have been more sweeter and agreed to talk to him. I will never forget the kindness and generosity he gave because not only did he make my childhood, he made my Dads. I kid you not he was beyond giddy and grateful, plus on top of that I gave him a signed CD by Jack and still that is a phenomenal record that deserves many spins. Funny thing, after getting my photo taken with Jack, as it turns out it didn’t look as if it saved on my device, so embarrassed I walked up and explained the situation, with the thought in my head “oh my god what if he says fuck off or pulls a douchebag rockstar attitude”, but it was the exact opposite and Jack couldn’t have been more understanding and cool with it. Well as it turns out I’m a dumbass and I had both images after all. Thank you TSOL for 46 years of music and live shows and thank you Jack for being an amazing human to a punk kid like me. TSOL FOREVER. #tsol #truesoundsofliberty #punk by @jonthestatic
