Not a wedding dress post but a wee message to all my type 1 Diabetics.

I have had diabetes for 31 years and my mum had it over 50 years. God is it tough my mum kept it very private for both of us ( as that’s how it was then) and I used to hide in the toilets testing my bloods pricking the blood out my fingers to see what I needed 24/7 insulin or sugar?
On my arm I have the free style Libre 2. By scanning this with our phone we are able to get a quicker sugar result without spilling blood. I was so aware of it when I first self funded it years ago always trying to cover it. Embarrassed. It cost me £100 a month but would remove it for shoots.
A couple of years ago at the wedding show I asked KJ from @wedplannerbridal if she was ok with me wearing it and instant reply was of course- we want real people. ❤️ Everyone has been great and so aware now of what this is and what it does for the diabetes community. It’s hard, bloody hard constantly thinking what our sugars are doing. We never get a break from it but this makes the testing easier.
Posting this as I have had a few lovely messages from parents recently whose children are Type 1 and have seen the display of the libre on social media. Type 1 friends wear it with pride especially you young ones - it’s part of us and until there is a cure we will rock this. 💪

Whether it’s glistening in the summer sunshine or sparkling beneath the evening lights, this is the kind of outfit that feels just as magical as the occasion itself.
Soft, sophisticated and endlessly versatile, it’s a look that would feel at home at everything from a grand hotel celebration to a romantic countryside wedding.
Safe to say... this one’s a bit of a show-off, and we’re absolutely here for it +
