More from @davidyberebachata David's 80s birthday bash at Crown Social @crownthesocial — round two! 🎉💃

The energy on that floor never let up. Glow-in-the-dark looks, smoke machines, colorful lights, and everyone dancing like it was really 1985. 🕺✨

Thank you again to @crownthesocial for the space, @dj_viktorr_tiz and @djzonik for the music, and happy birthday once more to @davidyberebachata. 🙏🎂

I’ve spent so much of my life feeling like I need to hurry. Hurry to figure it out. Hurry to get where I’m going. Hurry to become whoever I’m supposed to be.

But why would we want to rush through a life we’ve worked so hard to create?

I want to be here for it. Present. Laughing louder. Taking the picture. Dancing so much more.

A reminder to enjoy where we are, even while we’re still figuring things out, and trust that we’re not behind.

We’re exactly where we need to be. 🤍

Thank you for capturing me in this moment 🤍🤍

🎥✨ Okay THIS might be my favorite moment of the night.

Got Dani J to jump on camera with me for a quick selfie video — him singing, both of us cracking up. This is the kind of moment you don’t plan for, it just happens. 😂🎤

First bachata concert, favorite artist, and a moment like this to cap it off? I couldn’t have scripted this night better myself. 🙏🔥

Thank you again @oficialdanij for being so down to earth with everyone, and to @rajygiulia_official, @ryg_danceevents, and @rygmedia_ for making this whole night happen. 🙌❤️

@urban.nights_charity.event went pink for a cause 🎀 This past Saturday, the floor at Glow Dance Fitness in Monterey Park was packed for a night of bachata and urban kiz in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with all proceeds going toward a community member's breast cancer treatment.

From the 8pm bachata class with @crystallinaa of @crystalartsdanceacademy, to the 9pm Urban Kiz class with @kiz.essence, to the 10pm–2am 50/50 social with @djsammyoc & @dj_viktorr_tiz, the energy never let up. At midnight, @aleeb123 lit up the floor with a stunning performance 🔥 followed by announcements and birthday dances 🎂

Huge thank you to Leyla and @urban.nights_charity.event for bringing everyone together, and to @mashameansmarie of @sunflour.sweets.by.marie for donating fresh-baked cookies to the fundraiser 🍪

And to everyone who showed up in pink and danced for something bigger than all of us — thank you 🩷

Dancing for a cause hits different. 🎀

The Bachata room at @stevenssteakhouse hits different. 🔥

Colored lights, close connection, and a floor full of people who came to dance and stayed until the music stopped. This is what bachata looks like when everyone in the room is locked in — leads, follows, and every feeling in between.

Commerce might not be the first place you’d expect to find a room this alive, but that’s the thing about this community. It shows up everywhere. And when @djsoonasty is on the decks keeping the energy exactly where it needs to be all night — nobody’s leaving early.

Vintage trucks, neon lights & golden hour on Abbot Kinney 🚚🕶️✨

Last Saturday I joined the Lens Lab & Portrait Photography workshop, part of the Sigma x Peak Design Takeover, led by the talented @lindylinphoto. We spent the afternoon exploring perspective, composition, and the connection between photographer and subject, then hit the street to put it into practice. So much energy from everyone there.

Big thanks to @sigmaphoto for the lens lab, @peakdesign for hosting at their Venice store, and @goodr for the shades and for letting us shoot in front of the shop.

Models: @huckleberry_femme & @aden_no_i, thank you for bringing it 🙌

More from Salsa Con Sazón @salsaconsazon.la 🌴☀️

Behind the decks, @zairo.raul kept the Lavoe and Fania classics spinning on vinyl, and the dancers answered every record with spins, smiles, and plenty of salsa dura. 🔊🎶

Some of my favorite moments from the afternoon are in this set: the DJ at work, friends catching up between songs, and couples lost in the music. 💃🏽🕺🏽

Thank you again to @zairo.raul, @ynlmani, and @casadelola.la for a great day. 🙏

Salsa Con Sazón @salsaconsazon.la sent the summer off right. ☀️🌴 This end-of-summer day party in downtown LA celebrated the birthday and legacy of the legendary Héctor Lavoe, with classic salsa on vinyl, a free salsa lesson, and a dance floor that filled up all afternoon. 💃🏽🕺🏽🎶

Lavoe's music has moved dancers for generations, and you could feel that in the room. 🇵🇷❤️

Thank you to @zairo.raul for the vinyl set, @ynlmani for the salsa lesson, and @casadelola.la for the food, and to the organizers for letting me be part of the day. 🙏

Salsa in the Sky, a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at City Club LA @cityclubla 🌆💃 Aaron Byrd's evening had skyline views, a buffet, and live salsa from Los Calicubanos @loscalicubanos , with people dancing as the city lit up behind them. 🎺🕺

It was a night about Latin culture, music, and community, and I'm glad I got to capture some of it. ✨

Thank you to @itsabyrd for presenting the event and allowing me to be part of the night, and to @loscalicubanos for the live music. 🙏🎶

80s night at Crown Social hit different. Glow-in-the-dark exercise outfits, colorful looks straight out of the decade, stage smoke, and LED lights lighting up the whole room — this was also a celebration of David's birthday, and the dance floor showed it all night long. 💃🕺🎂✨

Salsa, bachata, cake, and non-stop energy from start to finish. Nights like this are exactly why I love shooting this community. 🔥

Huge thank you to @crownthesocial for having me, @dj_viktorr_tiz and @djzonik for keeping the floor packed all night, and happy birthday to @davidyberebachata — thank you for letting me be part of the celebration. 🙏🎉

Every spin, every dip, every smile on that floor was in support of something real: a new home for this community to keep growing. ✨🏡

Huge thank you again to @alliancedance_academy, @miellatinautah and @theharelb for having me out. 🙏

What a beautiful night for a great cause. Alliance Dance Academy's Fundraiser Social took over The Hare in Long Beach with an afternoon into evening of salsa, bachata, and Latin music — all in support of their future new home. 💃🕺🏡

From the bachata class to Miel Latina LA's @miellatinautah incredible performance to a full dance floor during social hour, the energy and love for this community was impossible to miss. Every dance, every raffle ticket, every person who showed up was part of something bigger tonight. ✨🎤

Huge thank you to @alliancedance_academy for having me and letting me be part of such a meaningful event, and to @theharelb for hosting. 🙏❤️
