AN ALL TIME FAVORITE FROM ALI, so grateful i got the round 2 to feel this again. you can tell i’m into it so so much bc i am looking at the mirror so much less and letting the emotions carry me fr

maybe tmi but remember when i said i was having a tough time at work going into why i dance? i think ali’s class was literally the day i had a whole breakdown at work because i was literally overloaded and my last straw? i wasn’t considered an “engineer” in the room… imagine being in a five person meeting and having someone list the names of every person in the room EXCEPT you and saying “let’s have the engineers in the room look into this” and you just have to…. sit there and not say anything because what even does that mean? all my work felt so so meaningless yet i was doing so much and i broke down to my boss. he apologized to me for not saying something before i could even bring up the part about not feeling recognized and i cried more lol by @joonytries

giving this choreo it’s moment to shine bc i loveeeeee this video sm 🥹 never have i ever seen lil ole me leave it all on the floor like that, seriously…. for someone who has hated how they look for so long, someone so PAINFULLY insecure, i got to really really sit in the music and just enjoyed it. smiles from april’s classes are never for facials, they are always real and pure joy 😌🙂‍↕️ by @joonytries

THIS ONE IS GETTING PINNED! alana put somn addictive in this one because i was FEELING IT YO! i’m a big big fan of round two of anything because the difference between round one and two are so DRASTICALLY different in my eyes. bc i was LIVINGGGG in round two. i love this one dowwwnnn by @joonytries

i almost forgot this existed until i was looking thru my camera roll to make my march dumpy LOL tb to feb hip hop freestyle foundations with noir! honestly watching this back i was lowkey hitting some of that what the freak LMAO i really tried to avoid too much waving bc the focus was hip hop but i failed a lil. i think i’ve improved a bit on listening to music but it is HARD i need fo build the intuition for it by @joonytries

freestyle round from kai’s tutting workshop!!

honestly a hard watch for my round but wanted to post a dance thing bc it’s been a bit since i’ve been in a class 🥲 i’ve been trying to focus on upkeeping and maintaining my body while doing my rehearsals for enf + cnct and i’ve been slacking on showing up to sessions and even just drilling waving/freestyling at home. on top of that i have things i want to choreograph but i need to manage it all n figure out what really works for me 😅

i need to go easy on myself bc this video was less than a week after i got my wisdom teeth out so i was still recovering but i had some really good feeling rounds during the smaller cyphers. i really do gotta give myself credit because even i can see how much i’ve been enjoying the process of freestyling, listening to music, and just having fun w it! props to everyone in the room for just TRYING like it is such a disservice to yourself and everyone else to not give new things a chance.

i noticed that i get really bothered when i do things repetitively during rounds which i see a lot in this video and i can usually feel it in my body in the moment too. but i think that this is normal just bc when you pick up the foundations to anything, repetition is key to figuring out how to expand on it? idk i’m doing my best and freestyle is hard but i’m getting more comfortable with it at a minimum and i’m glad. STILL NEED TO WORK HARDER I HAVE MORE IN ME GIVE ME SOME TIME by @joonytries

jt’s pop uppppp i love seeing myself make choices and get into it and give the energy i aim to give. there’s also honestly a lot more clarity and cleanliness in my movement here than i feel like i’ve seen in a lot of the videos i have on here. she was fun, she was tiring, she was a moment. loved dis one by @joonytries

push from izzy’s classsss as always. i was struggling w this one yo my body was doin shit it has neva done before LOL. i love izzy. she pushed me to the front at the end (this take) and i know it’s because she’s seen a lot of change and growth in my dancing and i love learning from her sm. i need to step up (literally) more for myself without people needing to push me up (again, literally) by @joonytries

not my best take but wowowowow what a push. i honestly feel good with where i pushed with this, even if my best take wasn’t a good video. i committed a lot and had to fully trust my body to do what she needed to do. i liked all the choices i made. it meant a lot to hear from liam after class that the choreo sat nicely on me and that he saw something in me which i appreciated a lot. this class was everything i’d love a round 2 by @joonytries

the cutting when editing always makes me laugh a little LOL but sav’s farewell classss. wish i let go a bit more and really just had a bit more fun bc the choreo is there but i look so serious LMAO dance. is. fun!!! i know that so why is it such a struggle 😭 by @joonytries

first izzy class of da yearrrr. this one was so fast lowk my brain was struggling but i was so giddy to be in class w so many friendos. wanna push how big i can extend my movement even when the choreo is faster.. constantly working on making myself bigger n getting outside my box 🥲 by @joonytries

catching up on january dance tingz. i’m honestly realllll proud of this being the first class of the year bc i was havin fun yo. only thing i wanna note is that i wish i took more chances with my choices. really liked that pon talked about being able to adjust the choreo to your personality/character and committing to it. i don’t have the on/off switch for it but i wanna put that in my brain more when i take classes that might be out of my comfort zone by @joonytries

jt back in townnnn!! my intentions for this class were levels, trying to push out of my box, and filling in the space between moves

honestly with my height i should never be letting anyone get lower than me LMAO. my ankle and knees are a bit weak but my statement still stands

i feel like dancing big or really extending is difficult for me because i quite literally don’t have much to work with BUT i’m really trying to find the balance of extending and dancing bigger while also staying in control. i think i have good moments of that here, but mmm by @joonytries
