Vanaf vandaag is de pilot van ‘Chimi’ live op NPO 3LAB. Een filmplan waar ik jaren lang mee rondliep komt daarmee eindelijk tot leven en dat maakt me ontzettend trots. Link in bio.

‘Product in every shot? Sure, no problem.’ This one for @fairphone had us rigging the phone in almost every way we could imagine, taking spinning rigs out of the studio and into the field. The stoke is always bigger when a certified B-corporation calls. by @joostbiesheuvel

Shoots don't come much better than this. Had the best time shooting this one in the Dutch Caribbean last spring. Much love to everyone involved! ❤️

“The Apache cockpit wasn’t exactly built to fit an IMAX camera, obviously. ;)

But we still wanted the entire film to have that rich, analog film look.

So the digital footage was printed onto 35mm film to get that true analog film look without compromising flexibility on set.”

A full season of Chimi has just been funded after successfully shooting the pilot last year. Two years of writing, rewriting, applying, rejection, teaming up, reapplying, and relentlessly pushing through have finally paid off. What a way to start the year.
