why did it become cringe to post an entire photo album after one single night of fun yet socially okay to post a regurgitation of the same 7 soulless poses that inspire no fun underneath layers of AI filters? (miaw 🐱)

this post is an attempt to change that. bring back the fun, the cringe and the shots of patron poured from the bottle directly in my face but not shared here because i’m a good example for your kids 👶🏻

the air starts to feel different in the third week of september.

whether beirut, montreal or dubai - it doesnt take much effort tuning in to the subtle shift in temperature, to the kiss of a lighter breeze.

sounds are different too - birds on their way back or out, routine picking up after summer lull.

this liminal moment where a season change, i yearn to grab onto it hoping to stretch it - one day longer than last year please!

indian summer in Canada was and still is one of my most cherished discoveries - a secret respite suspended between the fading summer warmth and the arrival of the cold.

here in Dubai the city is buzzing with action - all types of activities yes: the ones that feed its reputation for being “a soulless city” and the secret ones if you dare lift your head out of the sand and make your way to the beach, to the desert, to the…

nothing beats my childhood memories of beirut, the earthy smell after the first rain hits the soil, rushing to the catch the school bus as the sun is going up, back home at 2:45pm “teta what’s for lunch?”, fighting over the TV station before it’s time for homework…

nothing beats the change of season, the older i become the more i yearn to savour this moment, its transience, my transience… by @jopeaaace

my intention is to post more about my real life work on here.

some might have noticed that i complain alot about the state of the planet, nature and the environment.

but what’s not obvious is that this is the work that i’ve dedicated my 10 year career for.

hoping to share more about the life of a profession in corporate sustainability in the UAE whilst exploring in public what is next for me on this journey.
