Motherhood took on a whole new meaning for me this year.

First year a dog mom to my sweet June bug.
Witnessed my incredible sister-in-law become a mother to our first little Lewis, Declan.
Witnessed many friends experience motherhood for the first time, continue to welcome new bundles of joy or nurture existing.
Continued to cherish and build the incredible bonus mom relationship with my mother-in-law that I am so so so lucky to have. Never a day I take that for granted.
Shared an incredible but short lived experience with my mom - holding twins and loving them for as long as they could be loved then passing them off for Lulu to carry on her dream of being a grandma.

The short period of time I felt the pull of motherhood was so powerful it made me weak and strong all in the same breath. I can’t imagine the journey and how much more powerful it all becomes but I hold so much love and space for all today who were mothers, are mothers, miss their mothers, want to be mothers, the list goes on. Reflecting- just over 2 years teaching and over 20 years committing to this beautiful practice. So many layers, so much to learn and love. In hindsight I had no idea what this practice would give me and continue to give for years to come.

I am so grateful to my mom for bringing me into yoga at a young age. Even after years of her physical absence - I step on the mat and instantly feel connected to her spiritually. When I teach- I swear it’s her wisdom and energy that seeps through me. The power in this practice, the lessons it teaches both on and off the mat, the community it gives no matter where life takes you- it’s so much more than the Asanas.

Shoutout to @yenyogafitness for sparking my passion for yoga - my starting place with my momma.
Shoutout to @zenyogagarage for years of community, my training, and giving me my om away from om throughout all of my ups and downs in Chicago.
Shoutout to @totalitysculpt for trusting in me to teach, stumble, grow, and immerse myself into such a wonderful community here in Cincy.

long overdue SO to my momma and my rehearsal fit. these first few months of married bliss have flown by and it’s about time she was showcased!
to feel her even more- I had her dress remade into a top and dug out some of her vintage earrings to seal it. if you knew my mom- she radiated class, sass, and style. dare I say I enjoyed this outfit most out of the entire weekend 🤍🤍🤍 taken in Suttons Bay, Michigan by @jor.pete
