UnionBank and KasKasan Buddies Meet to Hear What the Community Needs

UnionBank and KasKasan Buddies (KKB) met today, October 16, 2026, to talk about what real cardholders want from their banks. The meeting focused on the needs of the KKB community, what issuers like UnionBank can do better with their products, and how both sides can help Filipinos spend and use their cards better.

KKB brought the voice of its KKBuddies to the table. Real feedback from community members was shared through KKB's Team on how products can improve, so banks hear directly from the people who use them every day. The goal is to build products around what the community actually needs, not just what looks good on promos.

The meeting validates the community’s voice and makes sure it is heard. It also strengthens the position of KasKasan Buddies (KKB) as the Philippines’ #1 Finance Community.

The conversation also covered how KKB and UnionBank can help the community spend smarter and KasKas Wisely. That means making credit cards and other financial products easier to understand and use responsibly, in line with KKB’s mission of making personal finance a healthy, open conversation for every Filipino.

KKB joined BSP’s first Financial Education Roadshow in Visayas, bringing together public and private sector partners to promote financial literacy, responsible credit use, and consumer protection.

One of the highlights was Credit Card 101, where Jax Reyes shared practical tips on responsible credit card use. 💳

PAL Accepts Digital IDs at Check-In for Domestic Flights

Philippine Airlines will accept certain digital IDs at check-in for domestic passengers. The accepted IDs are the eGovPH Digital ID, accessed directly from the eGovPH app, the Digital Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) ID, shown through the IBP App or IBP website, and the Digital Driver’s License, shown through the LTO Land Transportation Management System (LTMS) Portal.

PAL says a screenshot, picture, or printed copy of an ID cannot be verified and will not be accepted. Open the ID directly in the app or portal when you check in, and make sure you can log in beforehand.

This helps domestic travelers who don’t have their physical ID with them. This applies to PAL domestic passengers only, so check PAL’s official channels before you fly. by @jorambonus
