Well hello there; I’m a young artist and this is my art account where I post my work for those interested to see.

POSTS STORIES REELS

Here’s an art piece that I have casually been working on this past week, just for fun’s sake.

I felt like drawing a bird of prey or raptor and decided to sketch a vulture, probably because I rewatched Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal and had the image of skeksies in my head.

I originally intended this to be a black and white doodle, but couldn’t help myself to colourise it, shade it and give it a background to soar in.

Here are the different stages of my art process in making my ”Users of the Lightning Aura” fanart of TATCOS, as part of last week’s talon fest, as well as all the images that I used as reference for the characters, their poses and the lighting effects.

"Users of the Lightning Aura”
Here’s my entry for the fanart category of talon fest!

Talon and the Champions of Saurithia (TATCOS) is an indie animated series made by lunar dragon entertainment and centres around dinosaurs who can wield elemental powers called auras.

This art shows two characters who can both use the lighting aura. On the right is Kota, a young Alamosaurus, and the left is his teacher Fury, a mutated Spinosaurus who lives up to her name!

I made these pieces in photoshop to show my love and appreciation for this special show and can’t wait to see where it goes next! 😃😉🦕⚡️

These are the motion graphics I animated as a test for a multimedia design internship at a partnership marketing platform that has an office in Cape Town.

I got an email from their admin on 19th May with a link to a script, storyboard and other resources I had to use to create a 2-3 min presentation for one of their products and instructions to complete and submit it within just 7 days.

Since I was at graduation away from home that day, that meant I had just 6 days to complete it, which kinda made things tighter, but not impossible to do.

This project was done entirely in adobe After Effects, where I recreated each slide from a storyboard and synced each animation and transition to an audio narration and incorporated the in app video footage.

I submitted on 25th May and they scheduled an interview two days later. They were impressed and said that I have good technical skills and experience, but that wasn’t enough and I ultimately didn’t get the position. Oh well, I can’t let this bump on the road stop me from moving forward.

Behold! An original character or OC if you prefer.

I know this is the first post I’ve made in a while, but aside from studies, I’ve also been working on this!

Originally I intended to just draw a single doodle with colours and lighting, but then felt inspired to refine and expand on this design with a character sheet.

The aim has been to showcase him in the front, side and back views, as well the underside and topsides of his wings.

The wing shapes and structure probably took me the longest to get right, but I’m happy with the final look.

I also plan on sculpting a 3D model to animate with, so look out for that in the future. 👀

First art posted in 2026! These are just original character doodles I made last year for fun. I think I was inspired by the styles of cartoons like "Wonder over Yonder” and "SpongeBob SquarePants”

Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur may not be remembered too fondly by most people, but it will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️, no matter what they say. 🦕🦖

Behold… the Deadly Nadder! This is fan art that I have been working on, based on one of my favourite dragon species from the httyd franchise. The second image is my reference, but I cannot find the original artist who did it. by @jordanadonis_art
