I’ll be at Expo West next week.

5 years ago my sister took a leap.

She walked away from a successful career, bet on herself, and opened her first Pilates studio with nothing but grit and belief.

Today she is celebrating 5 years of that original Brooklyn studio and now owns 3 studios.

So proud of you, Marisa.

I thought I understood strength. Then I watched my mom fight cancer again at 79.
Today we celebrate 80! ❤️

A year ago we didn’t think we’d get here.

She was diagnosed with uterine cancer, 25 years after beating breast cancer, and for a while it felt like time was running out.

But she fought again.

With strength.
With grace.
With quiet resilience that doesn’t need to prove anything.

Watching her this past year has changed me.

It reminded me that real strength isn’t about control. It’s about love that refuses to quit.

Today is more than a birthday. It’s a reminder to appreciate every moment we get with the people we love.

Happy 80th, Mom.

Dear Manhattan,

30 years. You were my proving ground, my playground, and my pressure cooker. You gave me ambition and resilience. You gave me love, heartbreak, reinvention, and grit. You gave me the honor of raising my daughter here, the best thing I will ever do.

I have lived a dozen lives inside your walls. Some wins, some scars, all of it shaping me into who I am today.

Now I am leaving lighter. I am taking with me your confidence, your energy, and your swagger. I am leaving behind the grind and the need to always push.

My Second Act calls me to family, love, freedom, and purpose.

I will always carry you in my bones, but it is time to go.

Thank you for everything.
