I'm very excited to finally share this new single from @darkgable.bc that I mixed a little while back. They've become one of my favourite groups in Vancouver after I got hooked on their Vol. 1 mixtape released last year. Check out their whole catalogue if you're into this. ๐Ÿคซ by @jordank00p

Very thankful to have worked with SK on another record, with beautiful contributions from @mariagrigviolin and @elbow.kiss. It was nothing but exciting working with Toronto's @oliviaboring - an old Vancouverite and a new favorite around here. She showed up with 6 incredible songs, a chill vibe and a willingness to experiment - dream client! Plus she left the studio a pink bike behind for all you bike people to rip around the island. @deadsofties Nathaniel Epp was called in for some classic Nat additions and let's just say you'll be "Free Fallin" in love with the result. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks Liv for the pink bike, the chill vibes and letting us be part of your magical songs! by @jordank00p
When you need just the right amount of dust in your new music video one of the people you call is me. I'll kick it up to 11. ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿป with @deadsofties by @jordank00p
Taking another stroll down memory lane for our 15-year anniversary. This oneโ€™s from about 12.5 years ago - building out version 2 of the studio on Gabriola Island, with the lovable band COWARDS as our guinea pigs. Initiate story time voice! Swipe for ๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽถ by @jordank00p
Feeling nostalgic today, after celebrating the 15th anniversary of the studio yesterday and I'm thinking about the first band I recorded at The Noise Floor v1 - one of my absolute favorites - Peace. In 2009 I got a phone call from Dan asking me to record his new band. At the time I was working out of FaderMaster (ex rec-age recorders) in Vancouver. We recorded "Slow Children" - their first EP over a couple night shifts iirc. When we moved to the Island a year later Peace were ready to make their first full length and thankfully followed us over there. The first album, "My Face" (2nd slide) was recorded only a week or so after moving in circa May 2010 (hence moving boxes in slide 3) and is available on LP and Bandcamp (check it out), but this track is from their second album, recorded by me in 2012 and released on Suicide Squeeze. I'm really struck by how timeless both these records are. I would be just as amped to record them today as I was all those years ago. One of the best bands to come out of Vancouver music in the last 20 years for sure. by @jordank00p
Talk about a perfect summer session! We had a blast hosting the absolute maniacs in @sleepcountrymusic the new project by members of @loansband and @warbabyband They also helped us celebrate our 15th Anniversary of The Noise Floor! We had cake, we had dive bombing into the ocean, we had visits from @deadsofties , we had gang vocals, we had jokes on jokes on jokes and at the end of it all we had sick new tunes and some new best buds (except for that one guy.
