POSTS STORIES REELS

Back in March we mentioned we were rebuilding our control room....and then we totally failed to do a reveal! What can we say - we're not the savviest social media uhhh... doers. 😑

Anyway, we're not bad with real life stuff like making our control room sound SO👌👌 😭 🤤 🥳 while adding more natural light and feeling much more spacious and vibey.

If you’ve been here before, you’ll notice we flipped the room 90 degrees. Fun fact: that was the original plan, but structural quirks made us hit pause on it back then.

The quirks have since been quarked (wt?) So we knocked out a wall, put in some windows, built giant bass traps, and cranked out as many broadband absorbers as possible. Oh, and added a mega cloud over mix position—6 inches thick, floating 6 inches below the ceiling. ☁️

It's been a treat to work in this space over the last OMG, 8 months 😶‍🌫️ A real step up! Unlike our social media game, which honestly, will probably remain as mediocre as ever. by @thenoisefloor

Wow we SUCK at Instagram!

Here is Jeremy Stewart @grueandbleen and his band from back in March ! We loved meeting this crew.

I mean, to be fair this is really the worst part of the job and it takes forever especially when you're not on top of it.

Here's @easelsband from early May. We also had fun times with @les.baliens and @three.sailing.wait but stupidly didn't take any pics!

@misterbreen123 left us this surprise in the shower!

We repaid him by taking 5 months to post about how nice that is!

@lizziewallingermusic was here a few times this year I think. Always so fun to hear new music from Liz!

@madijduncan was in around this time too. Pics or it didn't happen? The record we did is getting mixed soon so hopefully you'll hear it in short order. It's so good!

I mean, we're in our late 40s. Are we supposed to get better at Instagram? I can guarantee it's only going to get worse.

@cratersnakes ! The nicest! Patrons and purveyors of important elvis vs bear artwork.

It's fun though to take these trips down memory lane and share these pics and videos. Maybe we need an intern...

@wareyesband were here early summer-ish?

Nah, we don't need an intern. Please don't dm us about that.

and Western Red Cedar! @williamchernoff @rigsofmad

Now this crew really made the most of a summer recording session.

See? Now that's some good posting. Reeling? I dunno. We took their reel and then we squashed the aspect ratio and made it worse.

🥰 now this is just straight up great content right here. We got this very right. @nickmintenko

And this moment with @prairyfield ! We stole this video from their account. Obviously. Squashed.

Oh and this damn dream of a session. This would have been a perfect session to take a ton of pictures and videos but we didn't! 🫠

@naomi_kavka with @jordywalkr and @corwinfoxmusic

🥰 cute right? (Stole this too)

😎 this dude right here @tylerliebinsta playing like a GD angel sent from heaven. No video. Too mesmerizing. It would have ruined you for all other music.

😎 more stolen content of @nickmintenko for @prairyfield

OUT NOW — Amadour — “Angel Eyes (You Are Watching Me)” is available on all streaming platforms.

This song took three years to make, a whole team, and a 55-person orchestra.

I especially want to thank Alan @agfrausto for believing in this project and helping bring this orchestral vision to life. I truly couldn’t have done this without your belief in the music.

Huge thanks as well to @thenoisefloor, @jordank00p, @terryowashere, @ilan.dm, Max Lawrence, and @pannoniafilmorchestrabudapest. by @thenoisefloor

I'm very excited to finally share this new single from @darkgable.bc that I mixed a little while back.

They've become one of my favourite groups in Vancouver after I got hooked on their Vol. 1 mixtape released last year.

Check out their whole catalogue if you're into this.

Happy release day to "Same Fangs" - the new Spencer Krug album, recorded and mixed here last winter.

Very thankful to have worked with SK on another record, with beautiful contributions from @mariagrigviolin and @elbow.kiss.

NEW SINGLE: ‘Lucky Stars’ is out now! ⭐️

I wrote this song about fear, uncertainty and feeling lost in my own body when going through a bunch of health issues.

Dealing with doctors who don’t give a f*ck, delivering life-changing info, whilst pushing you out the door. Leaving their offices with prescriptions, pamphlets, more warnings than answers and one hell of song brewing!

I hope you all enjoy & count your lucky stars ⭐️💛

Out now everywhere you stream music.

Excited to share the first release from a new artist, foon gee, out of Virginia.

For fans of Bon Iver, Searows, Phoebe Bridgers - this one’s a delicate, haunting slow burn.

Ok I know y'all like chatting with Terry (my Wife - Borat voice) and getting her advice in between takes. Now you can listen to her talk about some of the cool stuff she's done in her long history in music, including putting on the last ever Canadian show for Fugazi. This podcast has interviews with tons of rad Vancouver musicians revisiting venues past and present. Link in bio - check it out! by @thenoisefloor
