There is nothing more fulfilling than sharing a room with people who also have a deep appreciation for the music of @taylorswift. I DJ’d this entire night but you can’t see me in any videos because it’s not about that. It’s about making people feel included, appreciated, and important… it’s about giving them the chance to make moments. My heart is so happy, honored, and humbled to be part of this.

Hands down the SECOND hardest thing I’ve ever done was move back to LA. Everything has gone wrong, things have fallen through and at one point I did something I’ve never done…doubt myself. Doubt my decision, doubt my abilities. Every couple of days it’s been a fight for one of our basic needs — which is something I haven’t had to EVER deal with. It gives me such a different outlook on the struggles of the homeless population. We have money and our options were bleak… how can they ever be set up to win?
If we haven’t reached out yet I’m sorry. If we haven’t returned a text or planned a date to hang out, it’s legit because we’re just now finally almost at the point where we don’t have to move every 2 days and can hopefully have enough stability to get working on the things we came out here to do. Don’t worry about us. Kathleen is so strong and her art is doing well out here. I on the other hand am frustrated and pissed (which has ALWAYS motivated me to do my best!) we do have some friends out here helping us with a few things and are so thankful to them. We love you! Almost died driving through a surprise nighttime tornado + monsoon in New Mexico. No streetlights, middle of the desert, hurling hundreds of car-sized tumbleweeds across the two lane road, with nowhere to pull over. Lost my wallet — wasted a day on misinformation directly from BOA and MO.DMV on how to get replacement stuff. Kathleen’s plants all died during a “surprise freeze” that happens only “once a year” according to locals. Rolled into Vegas and went to bed at 7pm. Who goes to Vegas to rest? It’s like the end of a tv show that just wasn’t on the right channel, or time slot, or given any promotion / help by the network. I tried so hard, for so long, and it did affect many lives… I just wish we were given the opportunity to have grown this to what it could have been — because it could have been great. But one of the most important life lessons I’ve learned is to know when to give up and move on, no matter how badly you want something. It was an honor to DJ @queerbartakeoverkc last night. Their events bring out representation from all members of the community. It truly feels like a safe place that some of us would never have experienced otherwise. There are so many people involved in making nights like this a success. From the initial person who reached out to Tom’s Town, to you for spending your Saturday night with us, to the person who mopped all our spilled drinks, and everyone in between. It was an honor to be part of this unforgettable event and amazing team. Thank you. by @jordinsilver
